Summary:
FALL LISTING SPECIAL! A nostalgic farmhouse escape overlooking DC Stables — where mornings begin with horses in the pasture and evenings end soaking in the hot tub under the stars. Designed for couples or two guests/couples traveling together, with a private guest suite, wood-burning fireplace, fire pit, and cozy movie theater room. A true slow-down stay with old-farmhouse charm, wood smoke in the air, and space to breathe.
The Space:
Step into a true farmhouse-style retreat — the kind that smells like wood, leather, and slow mornings. The home overlooks DC Stables, and it’s not uncommon to see horses grazing just beyond the fence while you sip your coffee or gather around the fire pit at sunset.
Designed for couples or two sets of guests traveling together, the property includes a main farmhouse and a private guest house, perfect for in-laws, friends, or a second couple wanting their own cozy retreat.
Inside the main home, you’ll find:
Wood-burning fireplace in the living room — firewood provided for that true crackling-fire feel.
Hot tub in the backyard with views of the pasture and stars at night.
Cozy movie theater room in the lower level, layered with blankets and perfect for snacking and unwinding.
Farmhouse kitchen & dining nook that feels like something out of a countryside journal.
We’ve leaned into everything that makes an old farmhouse romantic and slow-paced — solid wood floors, vintage textures, and that comforting farmhouse scent you only find in horse country.
🛏 Bedroom 1 – Main Farmhouse King Suite
A spacious king bedroom with its own private bathroom, perfect for kicking off your boots after a day wandering Blue Ridge. Warm lighting, farmhouse textures, and classic touches make it feel like a true country retreat.
🛏 Bedroom 2 – Bunk Room & Remote Work Nook
A queen-over-queen bunk setup makes this space ideal for friends or a cozy kids’ sleepover den. There is a dedicated desk, giving remote workers a quiet spot to log in with a view of the yard.
🛏 Bedroom 3 – Loft Trundle Hideaway
Perched in the loft, this trundle-style bed feels like a secret nook from a storybook farmhouse. It’s the perfect tucked-away space for kids to play or for anyone who loves the charm of an old-timey loft retreat.
🛏 Bedroom 4 – The Guest House Cottage
Just steps from the main home sits a private guest house with its own full kitchen, a roomy queen bed, and a cozy standalone feel. It’s an ideal escape for in-laws, friends, or a second couple wanting their own slice of farmhouse peace.
Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the entire farmhouse, guest house, hot tub, theater room, fire pit, and outdoor spaces overlooking the pasture.
While the property backs up to DC Stables, the horses and fencing belong to the neighboring farm, so guests can enjoy the view but there is no direct access or interaction permitted with the horses. You’ll still get that peaceful farm atmosphere — morning neighs, sunset silhouettes, and the charm of horse country just beyond the fence.
The Neighborhood:
Blue Ridge is known for its scenic drives, mountain views, antique shops, and laid-back Southern charm. Our farmhouse sits just outside the more crowded cabin areas — close enough to town for dinner or groceries, but tucked away enough to feel like a true escape into horse country.
Expect quiet nights, wide skies, and the sound of wind through the pasture.
Getting Around:
A car is recommended to fully enjoy the area. The home is easily accessible by standard vehicle — no steep or difficult mountain roads — and there’s parking directly on the property. Downtown Blue Ridge, Mercier Orchard, local wineries, hiking trails, and farm shops are just a short drive away. For those arriving by air, the nearest airport is Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), just under a 2-hour drive away. Consider renting a car to fully experience the beauty of the North Georgia mountains at your own pace. Once you're here, the best way to explore Blue Ridge is by car, allowing you to easily access hiking trails, waterfalls, Lake Blue Ridge, and the charming downtown area. Public transportation options are limited in this area, reinforcing the convenience of having your own vehicle to make the most of your mountain getaway.
