THE SPACE
The open floor plan includes a fully-equipped kitchen, living room with sofa bed and an adjacent dining room. Enjoy the indoor hot tub attached to the living area with 180 degrees of windows with views. Just off the living room, access the large, wrap around deck for grilling out or reading a book while listening to the sounds of the Toccoa River.
In the summer months you will feel secluded by the surrounding trees. In the winter months you will be treated to a partial view of the river once the trees drop their leaves.
The primary bedroom and living room both feature skylights, alongside peaked ceilings to let in natural light all day, and a star-filled sky at night. The bedroom has an adjoining full bathroom with a tub/shower combo and contains a 32" Roku TV to enjoy any streaming services you subscribe to.
A short walk down the driveway and across Aska Road will bring you to a strip of private riverfront where you can enjoy some of the best Trout fishing in the state of Georgia so don't forget to pick up a fishing license.
LOCAL SPOTS
Near the cabin is a riverside restaurant and two tube rental companies if you’re looking to float down the river. Also within walking distance is a small convenience store and cafe where Charlie and his wife will be happy to fix you up with a quick meal at very reasonable prices.
One mile away, you'll find The Lilly Pad Village where you can get an all-day pass for mini golf for $6. They also offer gem mining and fishing in stocked ponds.
You can find hiking trails like Fall Branch Falls just 3 miles from the cabin for a short half-mile hike to the base of a double waterfall.
Swan Drive-in, one of only 310 remaining drive-in theaters in America is just 8 miles down the road for a fun, socially distant movie night out.
There's no better location to base all your Blue Ridge adventures!
NOTE: The driveway to get up to the cabin is very steep, and requires a vehicle with decent clearance to park at the top (truck, SUV, jeep, etc). There is room to park at the bottom of the driveway, and stairs going up to the cabin, which is recommended. If you park at the top, it's two flights of steps up to the front door. If you park at the bottom, there are an additional three flights of steps.
If mobility is an issue, this may not be the cabin for you as there are no ramps and lots of stairs.

Husband and I booked this for our anniversary and upon arrival we fell in love with the beautiful scenery and nature of the area. Very well kept up with the cleanliness of the place. The cabin is definitely a comfortable feel like home when you’re there. Definitely be sure to take real good consideration of the steep driveway and steps. We loved how it was close to some places within walking or driving distance. We will definitely be coming back and recommending to our family and friends about this beautiful cabin.
Upon arriving to the property instantly fell in love with the scenery and location. Beautiful cabin that’s been kept up and maintained by owners. From the hot tub to bed it was an amazing experience and a 10/10 place to stay
I have to say that We loved everything about this beautiful place! Decided to rent this cabin our anniversary and fell in love with it, the area is beautiful if you love nature there is a long list of things and places to explore. One of my favorite things at the cabin was the hot tub, amazing!! When we visit Georgia again definitely will go back.
The cabin is very nice and clean. The only problem was having to go up the stairs to get to the cabin. If it had not been raining I would have attempted the drive way.
This home is beautiful. You definitely need to take into consideration the steps! They are steep at the bottom. It looks just like the pictures. It does smell a little of mildew, I think that is due to the hot tub being inside. We enjoyed our stay.
Everything was as expected. Communication with the host was very good. Pleasantly surprised to find out how close the property is to a couple of convenient shops where we bought wood and a hot cup of tea on a charming walk through the area. Otherwise it feels perfectly secluded, well equipped, clean and just what we hoped for.
My wife and I came here to celebrate our 5 year anniversary we had tickets for the blue ridge train ride. The fact that we were able to rent this cabin for 1 night and the price was about the same as a hotel made our decision a no brainer. This little cozy cabin was perfect for us. It was very very clean. The hot tub was hot. The Toccoa River is about 200 feet from the cabin. We had an amazing time and can't wait to come back again. Thanks for a great trip!
The check in process was smooth. My only complaint is how you enter the property. The hill is really steep and you can't drive up. The stairs to the entrance are kind of steep and a hassle if you have alot of stuff to bring in. The cabin itself was very nice and cozy. The porch string lights need some bulbs replaced. Thebplace was very clean when we arrived. The kitchen was fully stocked of supplies we needed to cook. The hot tub was amazing. Overall I had a wonderful stay.
It was a perfect getaway for the day to leave the city and celebrate my birthday. Scenic views of the river, close to a local grocery store, private, and serene. You will enjoy this place.
The cabin was beautiful! Clean and in a quiet spot. The host was great, gives a intro booklet as you walk in. The location is beautiful as the river is directly across the road. You’re about 15 minuets from blue ridge, so if you need anything quick it’s no hassle. Overall a 10/10 experience! My wife and I loved it!!
We had a great time. Highly recommend. It’s a good spot and close to the restaurant and river. A six point buck just walks by us as we are leaving one day. Plenty of room and the hot tub is very nice. Also a nice fire pit. A good place for a short getaway.
The perfect location. Right across from the river. You can walk to the general store, gem mining, and an awesome restaurant (try the double chop pork chop!). Secluded but not far from multiple wineries or a grocery store. Jacuzzi was so wonderful after a day of hiking. When they turn the downstairs into a game room, you won’t even have to leave the property. Great fire pit with string lights. Charcoal grill. Driveway is a little rough but they can’t be faulted for that. Truly a great relaxing weekend.
I enjoyed my stay here. The check-in process was amazing. We were able to check in early which was great. The hot tub didn't heat like we thought it would even after following the instructions the owner left us. The house was close by restaurants but was rude and uncomfortable in my opinion. The gem mining was pleasant and we enjoyed creating a campfire. The owner is very responsive and the entire house was private. I would recommend it but hopefully they fix the hot tub.
Man - can’t say enough for this property! Everything about this place is great. Awesome location for anyone looking to fish or be in the middle of the outdoors. Downtown Blue Ridge is only a 15 drive away but the Iron Bridge Cafe is located at the bottom of the driveway, and is a great place to eat!
The house was clean, and was just as shown! The jacuzzi was a perfect was to relax and enjoy the morning!
Owner was communicative and great to rent from! I absolutely will be staying here again!
We booked this cabin to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and to celebrate my husbands birthday. The host was responsive upon scheduling and asking about local restaurants. The first and biggest problem we had was the driveway. I know the listing says the driveway is steep. This is an understatement. You need a truck and 4 wheel drive would help. There are large potholes in the bottom of the driveway and loose gravel on the concrete part of the driveway on the steepest part. We almost couldn’t get our sedan up the driveway and there is no where to park at the bottom. The next issue is the gravel lot at the top of the driveway. The driveway is so steep that you can’t see the gravel parking spot which means you also can’t see how uneven the driveway is with the gravel parking lot. The unevenness is so bad, it almost ripped our bumper off our car when we tried to back the car out of the gravel parking spot. So we had to park the car on the steep driveway.
The next issue I had (this is just personal preferences) is the tv and the bed. This is not a place to stay if you’re looking for a romantic night in. The tv is very small and the bed is very thin. It also slopes Inward so when you lay down you and your partner roll towards the middle.
The pictures are of the same cabin, but the pictures definitely are professionally done.
We did not end up staying the night at the cabin. We needed to go back out to get something to eat and was honestly worried about our safety and our cars ability to get back up the driveway in the dark. Combine that with the uncomfortable bed and we decided to drive back home.
I feel like the most upsetting part of this whole situation is that I made the host aware of this and got zero response. So I let VRBO know if our issues and their only “help” was to send my refund request to the host who has not replied to that either. I’ve waited 72 hours to post a review In hopes to hear from the host, but I have not.
In conclusion, this cabin is the one listed in the pictures. You need a lifted, 4 wheel vehicle to get up the driveway. This is not the cabin to book if you are wanting a comfortable, relaxing cabin get away. We were very disappointed.
Cozy and a perfect getaway - Will be coming back!! Thank You!
Amazing cabin with fantastic amenities like the indoor hot tub, fire pit and full kitchen. My husband and I enjoyed this cabin so much!!! It's close to downtown blue ridge, literally down the road from great restaurants and the host is fantastic and responsive.
I highly recommend staying here, it's private with great views and is a perfect couple's retreat from the city. Thank you Alex!
Alex’s place was the perfect place to spend Thanksgiving week! He was great with communication and always answered every question I had. His cabin is stunning and right across from the beautiful Taccoa River. Alex’s place has everything you need, plus a hot tub and fire pit for you to enjoy these upcoming cold months! I will absolutely be back and stay at his place every time we visit Blue Ridge. Food and shopping are fairly close, scenic trails are nearby and fishing is right across the street from the cabin. Thank you Alex, we enjoyed your beautiful, cozy place and will be back soon!
