The home and mountain views were beautiful, the front yard was fabulous, and the two neighboring homes are ideal for a family reunion. The chef’s kitchen has Viking appliances, but the portable microwave did not match that quality. It also lacked a traditional coffee maker, muffin pans, pitchers, small saucepans, serving trays, colanders, and chopsticks.There is no king-size bed, even in the primary bedroom. Bathrooms need privacy blinds or curtains, and one bedroom closet was used for storage. Some bathrooms were low on toilet paper, there were too few hangers, and dead bugs had collected on the window sills.Because there is no garbage disposal, food goes into the trash. For guest safety, the property needs a locked, bear-resistant trash cage. Food left by neighboring guests attracted a baby black bear that came to our door and made the front lawn unusable. Trash dates and instructions should be provided.The downstairs patio light hung by its cords, the garage opening near the washer and dryer should be sealed, TV sound was poor, and Jacuzzi instructions and cleaner were needed.Before arrival, the 800 guest-relations line answered but could not answer property questions. Once there, communication with the owner was excellent.The VRBO listing should disclose whether the road is steep, paved, or requires four-wheel drive. One guest’s car could not make it up driveway.Beautiful property with these safety, privacy, communication, and stocking issues cured.
