Peaceful getaway 6 mins to downtown! 3 Fireplaces! King on each level!

Welcome to Rustic Comfort!

This is a 4 year old modern cabin that is located just 6 minutes to the shops and restaurants of the historic and charming town of Blue Ridge. There is also tubing, hiking, zip-lining, and apple orchards just minutes away.
At the end of your day of shopping or exploring, you will be ready to head back to this spacious and comfortable cabin. The kitchen is equipped with new appliances, a gas stove, and pots and pans if you want a cozy night in instead of eating at one of the great restaurants in town. There is a farmhouse table that seats 6+ where you can enjoy your meal together. Afterwards, you can go out onto the covered back porch, that spans the length of the cabin, and sit in front of the wood burning fireplace while enjoying the great views of the mountain and the valley below. You can also go downstairs to the rec area and play a game of pool, enjoy some drinks at the bar, and watch your favorite team on the 50" Smart TV. Outside the French doors on this level, you will find a hot tub and firepit. Enjoy a game of Cornhole, looking out at the stars while you relax in the hot tub, or roasting marshmallows around the firepit. When it is time for bed, there is a bedroom and bathroom on all 3 levels. Each bedroom has a king-sized bed with new Serta mattresses , 100% cotton sheets, bedside lamps, and a 43" Smart TV. The upper level has a walk-in tiled shower with a shower head on both ends and a double vanity. The main floor has a walk-in tiled shower with 1 shower head and a double vanity. The downstairs bathroom has a shower/tub combination with a single vanity.
The cabin sits on a hill. The driveway is steep, but we drive up in a Honda Pilot and a Honda Accord without any trouble. I wouldn't recommend low sitting cars or pulling a trailer up the driveway, though. You do not need a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get up it.
Whether you are enjoying time together playing pool inside Rustic Comfort or outside around the firepit, we hope that you will be very comfortable here and want to come back year after year to enjoy Rustic Comfort and explore all that Blue Ridge has to offer.

UPDATE: In the spring of 2020, we paved more of the driveway. Now 3/4 of the driveway is paved and the remaining 1/4 of the driveway and the parking area are gravel.

Modern Cabin—5 min from down town Blue Ridge

The cabin was well appointed with all the comforts listed and had a beautiful view from the back porch! The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space to spread out and relax.

Cozy Holiday Getaway

We had an amazing time having Christmas at this cabin! The place is much nicer in person and totally exceeded our expectations. Check in/out process was a breeze and our host was kind to check on us from time to time and always available to answer questions. Will certainly keep this place on my fave’s list.

Great family get together weekend

This is the best VRBO place we have stayed at. Can’t say enough. Clean, spacious, well equipped, great communication, beautifully decorated. Comfy beds (very important). We would stay there again NO problem. I know I’m not very verbose but its just simple: A GREAT PLACE!

Great location with a view!

This property was very clean. There were wonderful amenities - outdoor hot tub and the fireplaces both indoor and outdoor. It was tastefully decorated and the beds were very comfortable. It was amazing to be so close to downtown Blue Ridge while also having a view and feeling very secluded. We love to hike and were about 10-20 minutes from our favorite trails in the Aska Adventure area. It was a wonderful stay!

Rustic Comfort

House was great for all ages from 4- 77 - the 3 different floors with large adjacent bathrooms allowed privacy for each age group. The outdoor deck space with views was great for quiet time or checking out the stars. Also convenient was the distance to the town. The only improvement I would suggest is some kind of window coverings in the living areas but overall a great stay and easy check in.

Repeat Five-Star Stay

This was our third stay in this cabin and it is always a five-stay visit! The cabin is super clean and a very comfortable stay for six adults! Very spacious and nice seating for all six adults to sit in front of the fire. It is an open floor plan which we love so the cooks don't feel left out of conversations. King size beds provided a great sleep! The weather didn't cooperate this trip but with this cabin, we enjoyed our time in the hot tub, playing games, and cooking meals together! The host was very hospitable and communicated quickly with us. We will always choose this cabin for our stay and highly recommend it to others!

Wonderful stay & excellent host

We had a wonderful stay in Blue Ridge. The cabin was perfect for our family weekend - had so much to do at the home and was also very close to downtown restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The host was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Superb Cabin and Location

This was our second stay here and will always return here when available! The location is perfect for quick trips into town but the cabin still feels very private! also the cabin is very comfortable for six adults to sit around and talk!

Pre Christmas in Blue Ridge

Our third year in a row at this wonderful cabin. Our host has always been very communicative, and we have booked it for next year as well. Fireplace on main level did not work this year, and we did kill 5 wasps but overall everyone was great.

Perfect location, modern decor and amazing space!

We have rented several cabins in Blue Ridge and this was by far the best! The owners were very accommodating and responded quickly to our reservation request. This cabin is located in the perfect location with a short drive to downtown, Lake Blue Ridge, Zip Lining and much more! Each bedroom is on its own floor giving everyone privacy- making it perfect for both families and/or an adults. The beds were comfortable and we had all the necessities we needed for a great weekend getaway. I highly recommend and we will definitely be back!
