    This DIAMOND PROPERTY has been complete renovated to meet the standards of "a cut above". Sticks n' Stones is brand new, renovated inside and out. There is a lower unit, "Sticks" and an upper unit, "Stones" . Combine both units for four bedrooms.

    Fenced front yard makes for a happy pet!

    Sticks, the lower unit, has 2 Bedrooms and two baths. The master has a king bed with an en suite bath. The second bedroom has two twin beds and a hall bath.

    Each unit is equipped with a washer dryer, full kitchen, dinette, living room and fireplace.

    The outdoor seating area has a gas grill, plenty of seating, and a large gas fire pit.

    Step outside and take ten steps to Main Street and all the shops and restaurants.

The location of this unit is amazing. Right across from Hellbender, a block from Blowing Rock Brewing and a quick 5 minute walk to Main Street with cute shops and amazing downtown playground and park. There is also a park behind the unit. The unit was clean and comfortable. We were there for two nights with no one above us the first night. The second night we could hear the top unit guests but quickly quieted down around 10:00pm. We enjoyed the gas fire pit out back.

This was our second time staying at this property and it did not disappoint! It had everything we needed and the location can’t be beat- close to down town and so dog friendly. We even used the fire pit outside this time! We will return !

Excellent vacation, perfect location.

I have to start by saying the host is amazing. Everything that is listed about this property is accurate. Very clean, beautiful manicured yard and wonderful for dogs. The kitchen has anything you need. Walking to downtown is such a short distance. You’ll be so happy you stayed at this location. We are already planning our next trip with all of our family to stay at this location. Highly recommended for a couple nights or a week.

Had a fantastic stay in this cozy cabin! Pet friendly and great yard for potty breaks. Bed was comfortable and cabin was updated and clean. The only negative was the noise from upstairs cabin as other renters have mentioned. Other than that it was a perfect stay!

Perfect Location!

We’ve stayed in Blowing Rock and Boone several times but this was the first time we stayed directly in downtown Blowing Rock and the location couldn’t be more perfect! We never got in the car, we walked to everything and everywhere! Park is close by which is fun for the kids. If I’m being completely honest, the only downside was you could hear everything from the upstairs unit. Super clean and nicely appointed!

Fantastic location

We had a wonderful 2-night stay! The location can’t be beat. We parked our car in the parking space right by the front door, and never had to use it again. Easily walkable to the town park, shopping and many restaurant options. The fireplace is cozy, kitchen well-equipped, and water pressure great in the showers. One note for future visitors- you do hear the footsteps of the unit above, but we had read this ahead in reviews and were not bothered by it. Our 1yr old slept like a baby.

Great Location

Great place to stay on the heart of blowing rock. Walkable to about all you need. Beds were comfy, showers were clean and water pressure was excellent. The kitchen was small but for a short stay we only cooked a little bit. One item to note - you'll be able to hear the folks upstairs. Like every footstep, some voices, and especially the thud if they drop something. It's an old house / cabin, it's the nature of it but just don't be surprised. Still a 5 star property.

Great Condo and Location in Blowing Rock

Our family stayed at Sticks for a last minute trip for my husband's birthday. The property was very nice and exactly as described. The location could not be beat!! Walkable to everything Blowing Rock has to offer. It was nice to have dedicated parking. We really loved the condo was tucked behind another property- so not directly on a main road. It provided a little more seclusion and less noise. We were happy we could bring our dog. The fenced yard was perfect. Karen was wonderful to work with! She was very attentive and provided lots of good information about the town and things to do. We will definitely stay at Sticks again!

Beautifully redone home with location , location, location!

If you are looking for a beautifully redone, clean home in the heart of Blowing Rock, look no further. Steps away from dining, shopping and playgrounds. A 10-15 minute drive to hiking, kayaking, axe throwing and mini-golf. This property is perfect for a family of 4 and doggies too! At the home, evenings can be enjoyed around the fire pit, sitting on the front porch listening to bird call or inside watching your favorite shows on tv. The kitchenette was well stocked with cutlery, utensils, cookware and dinnerware. The laundry closet came in handy after long days hiking and one must mention the superb water pressure and hot water used for showering! Having on site parking was absolutely wonderful too! My family and I really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend others to visit The Sticks.

The Good-The apartment is in a great location within easy walking distance of Main Street. It is clean and reasonably well-equipped The Bad-you can hear everything from the people staying in the apartment above-every footfall, every toilet flushThe Ugly-When we checked in it was 56 degrees in the room. As the thermostat didn't cause any change in temperature, I called the host for help. She suggested that the gas fireplace alone would heat the whole apartment in less than an hour so that is what we should use, at least until the central heater might begin to work. When I told her that the unvented fireplace's unburnt fumes gave us headaches, she exploded into a rage and began screaming at me. Then a different host, a man, came on the line and said we should wait an hour to see if the central heating system would fix itself. I didn't see how that would be possible, but agreed to wait an hour. We did, and...surprise!, no, the heater didn't fix itself. To his credit, when I called back the host did arrange for repairs to be made that evening while we were eating out, and when we returned the heater was working. The low review is not so much for the problem as for the way it was handled.

Perfect pup friendly accomodations with great location

Fabulous stay in Blowing Rock. The location and accomodations couldn't be any more perfect. It was a very short walk to Main Street yet super quiet. Check-in & check-out were super easy & I found what was asked from us before leaving (take out trash, empty fridge & put dirty towels in the tub) was beyond reasonable and I appreciated the simplicity. This is a VERY dog friendly town and a very dog friendly 2BR. Karen even had a basket of poop bags, dog shampoo & towels which was a nice surprise. Despite this property allowing dogs, it was super clean and didn't smell of dog or have the typical dog hair looming (I have allergies to shedding dogs and didn't have an issue). I appreciated that the kitchen had many of the shelf stable staples including extra trash bags, dishwasher tabs and washer dryer tabs & dryer sheets. We left part of our hearts in Blowing Rock and plan to visit again soon and when we do, we will certainly stay again at Sticks & Stones! Thank you, Karen!

Beautifully decorated, bottom unit

The remodeling was really well done! Top quality on all items. The only two issues that were hard to see from the listing are that it is a bottom unit. So, you can hear every step above you. There is only room for 4 on the small front porch so if folks are having their evening cocktail and you are in the living room you might as well be with them. The dogs were great in the small front, fenced in, yard so that was super convenient! Super close to everything like restaurants and park you can walk to. The living room is small and the couch is as well. If you are in Blowing Rock to hike and be out all day with your dogs it is probably a great place if you are a heavy sleeper or no one is renting upstairs or if you are pretty loud.
