Das Good Cabin Quiet Family Ranch Style Cabin Near Pa Grand Canyon/Hunting

Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have enhanced our cleaning and disinfection procedures, to help give our guests peace of mind during their stay. During this time, when visiting stores and attractions in the area that are open, we ask that all persons please practice social distancing, and be prepared to where a mask.


Located in the heart of the Tioga State Forest, relax and refresh in our recently updated cabin. Miles from nowhere, yet minutes from everywhere. Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen, spacious great room, with sofa, recliner, futon, and sitting chair. A large deck for relaxing with family and friends, watching wildlife, or stargazing at night. After relaxing, take in the beautiful Pa Grand Canyon, Corning Museum Of Glass, antiquing and dining in Wellsboro or Mansfield.
Or step back in time and watch a flick at the restored Victorian theatre in Blossburg.
Many wildlife creatures have been spotted from the deck: including deer, bear, turkey, fox, marten, squirrels and chipmunks. Birds, butterflies and moths, can be seen as well. Enjoy your outdoor activities on the large yard, or take a hike on the private rd. Hiking, biking, and 4 wheeling right from the front door. Fantastic fishing at nearby lakes including Hills Creek State Park, or minutes away from County Bridge park for trout fishing. Just a short walk to access thousands of acres of Tioga Sate Forest for hunting, hiking, or bird watching. Only 5 miles from the Fallbrook water falls.

Solo Escape

I needed a couple of days of quiet just to think and this was PERFECT! Don gave excellent recommendations for the hikes int he area, and there were plenty of good places within 30 minutes to eat. I would definitely return!!

The cabin is super quaint and clean. You can tell that the owners have had many good times over the years. It's a little treasure in the woods. Quiet and the perfect midweek getaway. The owners were kind and helpful. I can't say enough good things!

We enjoyed our stay however our only complaint would be that there is no AC. We opened the windows in the bedrooms however that resulted in ants climbing through the window screens and into the cabin; a window unit would have made this stay much more comfortable in the summer months. We appreciated the available WIFI as there is no service at this cabin and it allowed us to communicate with our family while here.

Cozy cabin in a beautiful location!

The cabin and location are perfect for a quiet and relaxing getaway. The owners and very informative about the area, helpful from start to finish, and are quick to respond to questions. Check in and out was a breeze. The cabin was immaculate and clean and had everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Definitely worth the trip!

Relaxing mini vacation

Stayed at Das Good Cabin for 3 nights. The cabin is exactly as pictured....very comfortable and off the beaten track. If you want/need peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Communication with the owner was easy. House well stocked with everything you could need. Would definitely stay here again.

Das Good Cabin is exactly as advertised. Warm, welcoming, and really well maintained. It was nice and cool even during the heat wave, and the place is so well maintained it seems brand new. The owners were EXTREMELY responsive, and we had just a great time.

Quiet, comfortable stay

Recently spent four nights at Das Good Cabin with a mixed bag of weather. Even the rainy afternoon was a delight having with the pleasant porch. We particularly enjoyed the comfortable feel of a location that is used often by the owner. Well appointed with clear information regarding the stay. Best of all - of the beaten path. Only complaint is not seeing a bear 😜

Life is good at DAS cabin

This getaway was just what my husband and I needed this Christmas Break. We hiked local trails and went into Wellsboro. I would recommend this cabin to those who want to escape into the woods with a bit of luxury for camping. Highly recommend this cabin to all who want to sneak away and unplug. Being winter we had snow to make it picture-perfect. Don and Susan are excellent hosts, in fact, the best we ever had!

Cabin's got everything you need and nothing you don't. Owner insists you take R&R and he has set the stage perfectly for it. Comfortable and quiet--only one vehicle passed by the entire time. Lopi stove awesome plus a really great fire pit with wood. Board games and books if you wish. Owner Don Good lives up to his name.
