"We stayed here for 2 weeks in August 2023. We arrived and Ariane (owner) had been let down by her cleaners so there was a small delay before entering the property. However once we gain entry we were more than happy with the accommodation and facilities. We were a family of 7- 4,8,9 children, parents and grandparents. "We booked Chez Suzy for a family reunion, and it was perfect. 7 berooms, most ensuite. Facilities were great too with a lovely pool and gardens. Nice bbq area with a choice of either charcoal or gas. We dined outside as we barbecued most nights with the seating area more than adequate for our number. "Where to start. This is such a magical property to stay in. Our hosts gave us a wonderful welcome, and were always available to answer any questions we had. The actual accommodation is simply superb, and anything that you could think of was supplied. I was cooking for a small group, and I have never had such a well equiped kitchen in any previous accommodation I have used. The location is fantastic for sightseeing. I cannot recommend this property enough."

"This is by any definition a magnificent property and it it is so beautiful and so well managed that any criticisms feel like nit picking. The staff cannot do enough, the rooms a lovely and the property itself is unforgettable. The only complaint is that the rooms are exceedingly dark and they would do well to either provide higher wattage bulbs or install reading lights on the beds. "

"A lovely family run hotel with attention to detail and great service. Great location, with a super pool (great for kids). Beautiful views across the hillsides. Breakfast was delicious and very fresh. Friday night BBQ and live music was a lovely experience. We visited a local Thai restaurant on Friday evening, as recommended by the hotel - they weren’t wrong. It was really tasty and the service excellent. All in all would highly recommend and would love to return to Hotel L’Abbaye!"
