Howard Johnson by Wyndham Oklahoma City Airport/ Fairgrounds
10/10 Excellent
"I mean it’s $50, so you can imagine it isn’t the fanciest place. But you do get what you paid for. I had a room on the 2nd floor and it was very nice, had everything you need, a bed, chair, desk, TV, hot water and AC. Perfect for my one night stay, and would definitely do it again given the price point.Came for the OKC thunder game and was only 10 minutes away from the stadium including traffic."
"I did not find the staff very friendly. The breakfast was also super pricey for a hotel buffet so my kids and I didn’t stay to eat. Also when they charge things to your room, neither time was I told the exact price for what I was buying or given a receipt."
"The room was clean. The bed was quite comfortable. A mini-fridge available, no microwave. The shower/bath was very clean with plenty of towels. The breakfast was plentiful & staff was helpful as needed. I stayed while my son was in a nearby hospital. Overall I was pleased with hotel."
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Oklahoma City-Bricktown, OK
6/10 Okay
"The desk clerk was nice and helpful. The room was nice enough, but the kitchenette was lacking. Not as nice as like the LaQuinta, Home2Suites, etc. where we've stayed before. Not a place I'd go back to. Pedestrian at best. Clean and standard breakfast that was well prepared."
"The outside grounds were not maintained. Sidewalks, steps were dirty. Breakfast consisted of of cereal, bread muffins. Staff didn’t keep track if needed more stuff."
"We were here to celebrate my teenager's bday with a friend. It was a great environment and a fun overnight stay. The weather was meh, the second day, but that can't be controlled. We had a great time, and will be back!
I will say there is a massive design flaw in the indoor/outdoor waterpark access. It is quite irritating to have to walk THROUGH a cold, airconditioned space (in a swimsuit only) to access the indoor water activities. You need to make a walkway from the outdooor (maybe near the inflatables) to the indoor section where the multiple double doors are positioned. The Gaylord in Nashville has this layout, perfectly executed!
Also, the outdoor area is greatly lacking in activies, and I hope an outdoor expansion with more activities is in the plans. The GIANT indoor water playground woud be MUCH appreciated, outside, for parents of younger children (I have 2 toddlers). I prefer to spend my time outside in the summer at waterparks, so I hope this design is in the future as I know many mama's prefer to be soaking up the sun while playing with their children.
My one negative: My daughter pulled back the couch bed at bedtime, it was clear that the sheets had NOT been changed from the previous guest. THAT WAS DISGUSTING. I called, and housekeeping was at our room in less than 10 minutes to rectify the mess."
