Riverside Retreat located on the Nottely River in the North Georgia Mountains.
Cozy, 2-bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin on the Nottely River in Blairsville, GA. Fully remodeled bathroom (with never ending hot water with the new tankless water heater) and with updates made to the kitchen and throughout the house, you're sure to enjoy your stay at our mountain cabin. Kitchen is stocked with all the necessary pots, pans, utensils and other items you might need to cook with. The bathroom is located on the main level while the 2 bedrooms are located upstairs. Each bedroom has a queen size bed with smart TV's and small closets to store your clothes while visiting. The living room has a couch with a pull-out bed and a gas fireplace so you can curl up on the couch and enjoy watching movies on the smart TV which also has dish network connected. (TV's upstairs do not have feed from dish) We do have a few board games for you or your kids to play should you want to stay indoors. You'll have several places to enjoy eating meals either on the roadside screened in porch, the open porch on the riverside or in the dining room area. Riverside Retreat is situated in the quiet secluded neighborhood of Choestoe Village only 8 1/2 miles from downtown Blairsville, GA. Enjoy the flowing sound of the river off the back porch while sipping your morning coffee or sleep with the windows open and let the sound of the river lull you to sleep. No need for a fake river sound machine when you can have the real thing! Just minutes from several exciting activities the North Georgia Mountains has to offer. Vogel State Park and Helton Creek Falls are just a couple of nearby places to go and only minutes away from the cabin. You can also take the very beautiful 30-minute drive on the Richard B. Russell scenic highway over to Helen to float the Chattahoochee River or enjoy the shops and stores. Nottley Lake in Blairsville and Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee are only about 20-30 minutes away. Take your own boat or rent one from the many boat rental companies located on the lakes. Take in all the beauty of the leaves changing colors during the fall should your stay coincide with that time of year. You can enjoy roasting hotdogs or making smores while sitting by the fire pit next to the river. If you enjoy fishing, the river is stocked with trout several times throughout the spring and summer months. You can fish from the rocky beach or traverse the river in either direction to discover some good fishing holes. Also, there are several great fishing spots located in the surrounding areas if fishing is your thing. Choestoe Village is tucked away so you can enjoy walks around the streets or let your kids play and tube in the river while you sit in a lounge chair on the rocky beach. Parking for 2-4 vehicles not pulling anything and enough room for 2 vehicles if you are pulling a small trailer or boat.

The host was incredibly welcoming! Checking in and assuring our stay was good! We loved the scenery & the house so much! We plan on coming back if the host will have us!
The cabin is cozy and well appointed. It was perfect for my little retreat from the world. I absolutely loved sitting on the back porch listening to the river. An absolute gem.
We enjoyed our stay! Perfect break from the hustle bustle of life. Adults and children enjoyed fishing in the river and the peaceful atmosphere on the property. The host is very prompt and helpful – thank you for everything!
Beautiful cabin, nicely set up and very cozy!! Loved the river running right behind it....so peaceful. Chose this one for the location too-was central to everything I wanted to see during my stay.
Cabin was cozy, well maintained, and very comfortable. Plenty of activities to keep you busy and a perfect spot to just sit back, relax, and listen to the river. Instructions from the host were very detailed. Check in and check out were simple. Overall amazing experience
Our stay was wonderful and amazing! The Cabin is a great location and the creek was a plus! The host was very attentive. We loved listening and playing in the creek. The cabin was clean and very cozy! Cant wait to go again but in the summer!!
My boys and I enjoy our stay so much. The cabin was cozy and clean. We loved sitting on the back porch to listen to the creek. The cabin had everything we needed and more. We would love to visit again in the summer!!
My family greatly enjoyed our time! The kids loved playing in the river and roasting hot dogs and s'mores. We didn't want to leave and we will definitely be back!
What a beautiful cabin and area! Inside and out! We loved it so much we extended our stay a couple more days! So enjoyed sitting on the back porch listening to the burbling creek and the sweet calls of the birds! So peaceful and relaxing! ❤️❤️
The cabin was great. Nice and cozy and real quite. The neighbors were real friendly and the community was real nice. Lot of nice homes in the community. This is was the second time staying in that community. Me and my wife really enjoyed our stay. We would love to come back and stay again. This was a great getaway place to stay at.
The property was AMAZING! I wish I could’ve stayed longer just to sit by the river and listen to the water! I bet it’s even better in the winter with snow!! We brought our whole family, 4 kids and 2 adults- the kids LOVED the water and floating down. The house is well stocked with necessities. Blairsville and Helen are great, but just driving around and taking in the scenery is even better! I’d love to come back for our next family vacation. *bring your water shoes! Those rocks will get your feet lol we brought ours!!
We really enjoyed our stay! The owner was very quick to respond to our needs and helped us tremendously during our stay. The cabin was very clean and well kept and it smelled so good! We loved the creek flowing in the backyard, it was enjoyed as much, if not more, than the rest of the vacation. We all put on our water boots and walked around and skipped rocks! Thanks TJ for an enjoyable stay, we will be back! 😊
We loved our stay! The cabin was in a great location and in a quaint, charming neighborhood. The owner was very quick and helpful in responding to any questions we had. The cabin was cozy, clean and had everything we needed. We loved sitting on the back porch, enjoying nature and the gentle flowing sounds from the creek. We had alot of fun roasting hot dogs & s’mores around the firepit. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely try to stay again come summer time!
We had a wonderful stay at the Riverside retreat the pictures online did no justice it was so much more than we had even expected we were able to check in very early which made it wonderful since we arrived in town that morning and check in wasn't until 4:00 p.m. Such a cozy, cute lil cabin that had every immenity you could think of. The hostess always answered my questions quickly and made our vacation extra special by allowing our early check in. Good people. Myself and my entire family of 25 (who rented nearby cabins in the village) will definitely be back! Highly recommend the Riverside retreat, unit # 106
Sometimes you just need to get away from the normal life and busyness at home. Sometimes you just need to breathe fresh air and slow down. This is the place if you want to do that! I spent hours on the back porch relaxing, and looking out over the river! My husband spent hours standing in the river fishing for trout-which we cooked and ate! I spotted two mallard ducks swimming in the river, a baby red eared turtle, a redheaded woodpecker, a hawk and many unique plants in the area. The property and home are very clean and had everything we needed: cookware and kitchen utensils, all the TV channels for watching movies at night, comfortable beds, really cool shower, easy check in and check out! I can’t say enough about this place-we are already looking forward to our next visit there.
The outdoor space was perfect! The creek is only steps away from the porch. The traffic sounds from the nearby highway does detract from the peacefulness but overall the outdoors was wonderful. The cabin overall is charming with cozy decor. The stairs are challenging, uneven riser heights at a steep angle. Made going to the restroom in the night from the upstairs somewhat treacherous. Just be aware if you are older. Beds were very comfortable. If not for staircase would definitely stay again.
