"We love visiting the cottage. It has everything we need for a comfortable stay and is in an idyllic part of Durham. The views are breathtaking. The fire makes the whole cottage feel so cozy and homely. When you visit, try to remember it is over 100 years old so dont expect a "new build" - it has all the wrinkles of age, which make it endearing. We will be visiting again as soon as we can"

"We have just returned from 1 night stay at Royal station hotel ,. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday. On arrival we were checked in smoothly although our room was not ready the girl at reception was very helpful stating we could leave luggage . We were given an upgraded room which was beautiful. We both prefer the old buildings with a little character. Breakfast next morning was lovely, self service , food was hot and tasty. We have stayed here many times when we visit Newcastle and will definitely be returning very soon. "
