"Easy walk to two grocery stores and to Padaria Delia Martins (yum) and the excellent butcher (talho) next door. We enjoyed the longer walk down to the water as well; just be alert as to cars. Had a nice visit to the winery and a lovely dinner at Mar e Vinhos. We appreciated the quiet neighborhood after long days of hiking and sightseeing. The hosts were friendly and helpful. "

"We were a party of three and the small apartment was large enough to accommodate all of us. The beds were comfortable. Maria greeted us and gave us a rundown on the place and where to go etc. she had also very kindly provided us food for breakfast which was a godsend. There was a lovely terrace on three levels. Also you have to go up a flight of stairs to get to the apartment. The road the apartment is very long with some lovely looking houses. There is a small supermarket nearby. "

"There wasn’t an address posted, it was difficult to find. It was not clean. We were greeted by ants, spiders, cockroaches, & a dead bird carcass. When we opened a large mirrored closet, it fell towards us. The entire faucet in one of the bathrooms rocked in place. There was mold everywhere and It smelled of mildew. We didn’t have hot water for 3 days. And the worst part was that maintenance locked us out of the entry gate. We returned from dinner at 23:00hr, in the dark. Our taxi driver had to...
