Spruce Haven
Enjoy your vacation in this lovely, open concept cabin tucked away in the northwoods! There is a half mile lane winding through the woods that leads to it. It comfortably sleeps 6 guests in its two bedrooms, and full size mattress in the cozy, low-ceiling loft. This cabin is surrounded by a large yard, with a gazebo and firepit. The gazebo has a grill, with a table and 6 chairs. This cabin is only 30 minutes from Granite Peak, Rib Mountain, Wausau, and Cedar Rapids. It’s in a friendly, small neighborhood. Ice Age trail access points are within a couple miles. Only 7 miles away from Birnamwood, which includes a gas station, Dollar General, and Chet and Emil's which has a restuarant and bowling. Chet and Emil's have made Birnamwood famous for their broasted chicken. Only a 12 minute drive from Norrie Lake and Mayflower Lake which provides boating, fishing and swimming options. The Plover River (a trout stocked river) winds thru the woods behind the cabin in the DNR land. Also including a spring fed pond. Or enjoy the Mountain Bay biking trail which is only 7 miles from Spruce Haven. The Eau Claire Dells Park is only 6 miles away where you can hike, swim, and enjoy the outdoors. For a winter activity, visit Sylvan Hill in Wausau for some great family snow tubing! Also Granite Peak for snowboarding and skiing! If you love the quiet woods setting, this will definitely be a favorite! For fun, local places to enjoy your time at, check out my guidebook at: https://abnb.me/hjdJ5cg2gsb

My sisters, mom, and I had a great time. This place was so cute, clean, and perfectly prepared for us. The host is responsive and the location was great! I would love to stay again.
this place is amazing for the northern woods. first of all whoever built, it did an amazing job true craftsmanship, not a detail overlooked. has everything you’re looking for and more on a quiet, nice piece of land with access to the expressway.I would recommend this to anyone traveling in that area…..
Nice and peaceful getaway with everything you need. Place is clean and smells great. Already want to go back. Thank you for sharing your awesome cabin.
Beautiful cabin made for a wonderful Christmas celebration with family.
The property was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed hiking at nearby Ice Age Trail and skiing at Granite Peak. We look forward to renting this cabin again.
We really enjoyed the peace and quiet at Spruce Haven. The place was immaculate, and we really enjoyed reading, puzzling, and relaxing. We highly recommend.
We enjoyed our stay in the cozy cabin. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. We went for a nice bike ride in the area, which is pretty and very rural. It's also a short drive to Wausau. Our host was great and very responsive.
The Cabin was everything it was advertised as and more. Very lovely and cozy. The property is very nice and quiet. Will come back if in the area again.
Our family had a wonderful time at Spruce Haven. The home was clean, cozy and just what our family needed to disconnect from the devices and enjoy nature. We spent the day skiing at Granite Peak then gathered around the fire pit at night & made s’mores. The kiddos also loved the loft spaces!
Had a relaxing weekend with friends and family. It was very rainy all weekend, so we had a lot of time to enjoy the cabin, play games, and cook meals. Very clean, cozy and welcoming. Would have been fun to enjoy a campfire and grill out on a nicer weekend.
We had a wonderful stay at Spruce Haven! It was a cozy cottage during a snowy Wisconsin weekend and it was the perfect getaway from the city. The home was warm and cozy with the fire place, and was well equipped with everything we needed. It was close to the Ice Age trail where we spent an afternoon hiking, and not far from Granite Peak ski resort where we spent the next day skiing. We also enjoyed visiting the establishments in town and nearby. We really enjoyed the broasted chicken at Chet & Amils. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
Cute Cabin Perfect Basecamp for Hiking the Ice Age Trail
My husband and our two friends stayed here for a long weekend. The lodgings are very clean and super cute. The kitchen was well stocked and the outdoor grill, fireplace, and yard were perfect for relaxing for the evening. I would say the mattresses on the beds are softer than we would have preferred but we still slept well. Four segments of the Ice Age Trail (Ringle, Thornapple, Dells of Eau Claire, and Plover) are each around 10 miles away so this was the perfect place for our hiking basecamp for the weekend. We would definitely come back.
Needed a shut down after move and all that involves. Just what the doctor ordered. Be sure and stop at Heartbreakers for dinner. The cabin and the surrounding area was all we needed.
