"Winterstoke is a HUGE house with 4 massive double bedrooms and a large twin room. This does not feel like a holiday rental, it feels like a home. "Excellent hotel - have stayed many times and the recent refurbishment has really done wonders for the rooms. More soundproofed, air conditioning, completely renovated bathrooms. Everything excellent, from the room, the location, the staff, the restaurant. Definitely recommend staying here if you're in Folkestone."

"Staff were very friendly and efficient. Hotel and my room always looked clean and inviting. Meals were tasty and well presented. If had to make a criticism it would be that there was no portable (temporary) air conditioning and the windows in my room (Charles 3rd) could not be opened. A large fan had thoughtfully been provided before my arrival but in the heatwave simply moved the hot air. Bar and restaurant staff were excellent and despite seeming to be switching between roles at times, there was never much of a wait. This was my first break in 2 1/2 years and was very relaxing. Would definitely visit again."

"Check in was soo quick. Room was soo big with all the things you needed tea, coffe, biscuits, juice,water,fan, heater,shelf, hangers,safe box, dressing table with big mirror, big sufa,toiletries. I was staying in junior suite with sea view and the best thing i like into this room bath tub was inside the bedroom but after make the booking you have to inform them you need this room. Staff are really nice and helpful the guy i don't know his name but he is very good and helpful. There is some problems with room for summer time they have no air con into the room and very hard to open the window. But honestly i didn't feel too much hot because the room is normally good temperature. Or if you open window there is a nice air come from outside. Also for now they are doing some work in front of the building soo it just blocked my sea view but they inform me before i booked this room. Soo i don't mind with this. Overall great stay. Hopefully come back next time"
