The best area to stay in Bijolia is near the Mandakini Temple and the Hazaribagh Temple complex, as this is where the main attractions are located.

This area is the historical core of Bijolia, featuring ancient temples and stepwells. It's a compact and walkable area, with most points of interest like the Mandakini Baori and the remains of the old fort within easy reach. The general layout is centred around these religious and historical sites, offering a glimpse into the region's past.

For solo travellers interested in history and archaeology, staying close to these temples provides unparalleled convenience. You'll be right at the doorstep of significant historical sites, allowing for early morning or late evening visits when it's quieter, and you can explore at your own pace.

Couples looking for a peaceful and culturally rich experience will also find this area suitable.

The best time to go to Bijolia is during the cooler, drier months, from October to March.

During these months, the weather is pleasant with moderate temperatures, making it ideal for exploring Bijolia's historical sites and natural beauty. You can comfortably visit the Mandakini Temple and the Hathi Bhata without the intense heat or monsoon rains.

For those looking to enjoy outdoor activities like exploring the local markets or taking leisurely walks around the town, the period between November and February is particularly good. The days are sunny but not overly hot, and the evenings are cool and comfortable. This is superb for couples or solo travellers who want to take their time experiencing the local culture and sights.

The shoulder months of October and March also offer good weather, though October might still have a touch of residual humidity from the monsoon, and March can see temperatures starting to rise.
