Apartments in Bijagua

"We stayed for 2 nights. The resort is very cool with a lot of nature right in the middle of the jungle. The rooms are nice. The food is expensive and mostly just okay. There are a lot of activities to do there, but you are a captive audience and excursions are quite expensive. Transportation out there is a bit difficult, be prepared for a long Uber ride. The service at the Sunset Bar was abysmal, the first night we went there they forgot my pizza I had ordered. The second night we went we were there for 45 minutes without someone even coming to give us water so we left and went to the other restaurant. -1 star for that. We did the night walk tour with a guide who was very knowledgeable; however he touched nesting baby Nightjars on the ground which is not only ILLEGAL in Costa Rica but extremely distressing for the bird who wasn't even old enough to fly away. We did not ask him to do this nor encourage it in any way. This was really disappointing for us as nature lovers and shameful for a resort that has signs everywhere reminding people to respect the environment and nature. -1 star for that as I hope it isn't reflective of everyone who works there. The next day we did a bird watching tour with a different guide who was great and we saw a lot of interesting birds and animals. We then went on the hanging bridges without a guide and saw even more animals such as an anteater. Overall it was a really great experience soured a bit by those two negative experiences. "

"Great place to visit for a weekend. Well maintained and the on-site restaurants had great variety. The waterfalls/ hot springs and all of the adventure tours were the star of the show."

"Jardin entre Montanas is run by the sweetest, most attentive family who have created an exceptional experience for anyone staying in Bijuaga. The included breakfast was one of the best meals we had during our entire trip in Costa Rica, they helped us get taxis and tuk tuk do get around, gave us a complimentary tour of the garden (which was incredible!), and were just great all around hosts. The room was private, clean, and comfortable. Definitely stay here if you want a local experience with welcoming hosts and also want to be comfortable and close to everything the area has to offer."

"The room was clean and comfortable. The grounds were lovely, although we did not have a chance to walk through the garden. The staff was wonderful and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. I would highly recommend!"
