FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE IS REQUIRED DURING WINTER MONTHS (Oct - May) Winter Season: Cascade Lift runs from December through early-to-mid April. Please check Big Sky Resort's site for lift operation.
Premier Ski Access: Weather Dependent, Big Sky Resort will operate Wednesday, November 27, 2024 - Sunday, April 27, 2025. The hours and dates of operation for the White Otter Lift will be December 13, 2024, through April 6, 2025, 9 am - 4 pm daily. The Cascade and Little Thunder Lifts are scheduled to run from December 13, 2024 - April 6, 2025 (11 am - 4:30 pm) during the winter season. Access trails will be groomed after 6” of accumulated snow."
*** This winter season, Rope Tow Joe is unable to run or be replaced. A trail easement encroachment has made any lift or rope tow in that location an unsustainable solution due to the lack of appropriate space for operations.
** Please be aware when making your reservation that lift access in November, early December, and April might not be available.
Ski In/Out Access: When Starting Your Ski Day: You can ski down Swift Bear to the White Otter lift directly from the back door of the garage. Follow the groomed trail down and then through the ski tunnel that goes under the road. Take the White Otter lift up and then ski to the Big Sky Resort main base area. The easiest route is to make an immediate right onto the narrow traverse on the right side of White Wing, to reach the base area.
When Ending Your Ski Day: The easiest way back to the home is to look for the four trail signs for Powder Ridge Cabins and Cascade Lift. Follow the sign for the Cascade lift. You will follow the main flow of the trail, but make sure to take the sharp left over the White Otter Access Bridge, then go straight down the hill following the trail under the White Otter lift. At the base of the White Otter lift, you will see Rope Tow Joe on your left (down for the 22/23 season). Press the Start button and the rope tow will bring you to the base of the Cascade lift. As you ski off Cascade make a hard right and immediately loop under the chairlift. Then ski through the trail marked by two red reflectors. This will bring you right back to the back door!

The home is equipped with heat for the cooler months, ensuring a cozy stay year-round. This home does not have air conditioning.
Most homes in Big Sky don't, thanks to our typically mild summer temperatures. For a true Montana experience, we recommend our classic "Montana A/C": open the windows at night to let in the cool mountain air, then close them and draw the blinds first thing in the morning to keep the cool air inside throughout the remainder of the day.

Transportation to Big Sky From Bozeman Airport: In order to experience all that Big Sky has to offer, it is helpful to have access to a vehicle during your stay. This allows you to travel seamlessly throughout the community from the Gallatin River to Lone Peak. While ride-sharing and taxi services are abundant in other communities, Big Sky remains a small town with limited options for transportation.

Beautiful home with great accommodations for a large family with children. Well appointed kitchen, large mudroom with space for winter gear, and excellent support from Two Pines property management when questions about home came up.
Absolutely amazing time staying at this home. From the gourmet kitchen to the comfortable beds, it was a truly incredible house. Thanks to the property management team for being so responsive and helpful as we planned our activities in the area.
Lovely home. Plenty of room. Management company very responsive and timely with any issues. We highly recommend this property.

Great House! Great vacation!
We had a wonderful vacation. The house was great. Nice , spacious bedrooms, fully stocked home. Boot warmers, organized ski area. The rental company was wonderful to work with. Highly recommend! Thank you!!
Perfect for gathering the entire family under one roof. Fabulous, well-equipped kitchen. We were there in October and it was the perfect base excursions, hiking, and fly-fishing! All the bedrooms are so nice no couple felt like they got the short straw and the kids loved the bunk room.

Liked: Check-in
Disliked: Location
FAR AWAY FROM THE RESORT
House was great, but too far from the resort and took to long on the multiple lifts to get in line.
The best rental home ever, plenty of room and well stocked kitchen, easy check out. Numerous wildlife visits during our stay including a black bear, fox, elk and deer. We experienced all weather while here in June, rain, thunder, hail, snow and rainbows. Kids loved the bunk area and lockers. Plenty of games and we contributed a few additional for the kids. You will not be disappointed.
The home was perfect for our group. It truly is ski in/ ski out.
It was perfect. Our only complaint was that the hot tub did not work properly. It had a serious leak and we had to fill each day. Additionally, it took longer than suggested to warm up.

Best Property EVER
I have a group of twelve 40 something year old men that have skied together for 16 years. We have rented houses in Aspen, Park City, Revelstoke, Jackson, Big Sky, and Whistler. This property was the best from every aspect. Property manager was attentive and helpful. The kitchen had everything a big group would want and all appliances are very high end. The finish of the house is an A+. The views are incredible. Ski in/out is perfect, although the trails could be better marked to get back to the house. But, don't plan to go back for lunch because it will take some planning to get there because it is not central to any part of the mountain. Instead, eat on mountain, bring it with you, or back to the house for an extended lunch. Hot tub comfortably fits 5-6. Garage is massive. 4x4 is a MUST if there is any snow/ice in the driveway or on the way up. All bedding is perfect. Deck is huge. House lived up to the BIG in Big Sky.
The house is situated away from the village, so plan on a car ride of 10 minutes to get to the main village. Big Sky doesn't have shuttles, buses, taxis, or Uber/Lyft that is reliable, so plan on having a car. The house is best used for big groups that plan to stay in or close to home. Night life is almost non-existent. If you want a rowdy, fun apres ski scene or nightly bar scene, go to Aspen, Whistler, Vail, or Steamboat.
The mountain is HUGE, but it has everything you would want if you are a beginner or expert. Lift lines were were 0 to 10 minutes and keep in mind the conditions were EPIC. Most of our crew loves steeps/expert terrain and Big Sky more than accommodated. I have skied Jackson a total of 7 days and have yet to get fresh tracks after 11am. Big Sky still had fresh tracks and lightly tracked snow after 2-3 days.
Why? A lot of beginners here so they stay away from ANY non groomed areas and there are just fewer people. Better steeps/double blacks than Jackson and Snowbird--that says it all. Hope you enjoy it like we did!
We traveled with 15 family members and this house was amazing! The views and extras were extraordinary…the 4 washer and dryers, two dishwashers, extra fridge space, the bunk room for the kids, and amazing master/queen suites were perfect for all the adults. We cannot say enough great things about this house and how clean it was. Location was a plus as well. We loved big sky!
We had a great time on this vacation! The house was as described and more than spacious enough. House was comfortable and had all the amenities we required. Hot tub view was fantastic and much needed after long days of powder skiing.
We had unbelievable, epic snow while we were there & the skiing was fantastic. A little difficult the first few times to find our way back to the house on the ski runs but we did eventually figure it out. Only got lost once, LOL! Would recommend when there is a lot of snow to make sure there is sand bags in the garage available , as the driveway was difficult to get out of if it hadn’t been plowed.
We would definitely stay here again and hope we can make it happen again soon!
This place was amazing. We had a great time with our entire family. The house was well kept and exceeded our expectations. Great location with beautiful scenery. We would definitely stay here again.
