"We stayed two nights in a clean and comfortable room on the first floor with a second door that opened towards the parking lot that made loading and unloading suitcases easy. The place was quiet and not fully booked in August. The staff was polite and helpful in suggesting dinner options. We liked The Dam Restaurant up the street. The continental breakfast was OK, with cereal, milk, coffee, toast, and some other items. The only thing I didn’t like was the bed. The mattress and box springs were rather old and creaky and the bedding could use some updating, but it was fine for the two nights. The hot water in the shower was lukewarm the first day and hotter the second day. It could be because more surrounding guests in other rooms were taking showers at the same time the first day, I don’t know. All in all it’s a decent place to stay to visit Voyageurs National Park and Crane Lake. Bug spray on exposed legs and arms is a must! Long hiking pants and a thick shirt is needed for trail walking, or else spray your shoulders, too. We walked the gorge trail on Crane Lake and I was stung by mosquitoes multiple times all over both shoulders through my tee shirt. Mosquitoes were everywhere. I wore a hat or my scalp would probably have been stung, too."

"My family of 4 had a great time here. The lake views and sunsets were amazing, the fishing was great (two largemouth bass over 3 lbs!), we saw bald eagles, loons, mink, Canadian geese, ducks and deer, and the location was perfect: close to town but very private. We never even saw a neighbor. The cabin itself was comfortable and there were so many little extras that made the stay even more enjoyable and showed how much the owners care. A soda stream machine, fire blankets just in case (may seem silly, but it made me feel like the owners have really taken the time to make sure everything is as safe as possible), wire baskets with battery operated lanterns next to each bed in the bunk room, games, a great booklet with all the information you might need about the house, the area, the best local places to eat and more. They even had a book about the local history and another dedicated to tying fishing knots. It was our favorite lake house rental!"

"We had a lovely time at this farmhouse in the country. It easily fit our two families and we loved all the fun games available (corn hole, board games) and watching the cows and chickens. It had everything we needed and more, including spices, coffee, ziploc bags, lots of things you wouldn't expect even shampoo conditioner and body wash. It was clean, and very spacious and decorated very cute. Our host was awesome and we were able to purchase fresh eggs and she came to help us when we had trouble with the code (a little tricky, suggestion would be to include better instructions on what the submit/enter button looked like). Only other suggestion would be to add handsoap in the kitchen, otherwise perfect. "

"Great location for us. Trails were close by and easy to get to. Gas station was also very close and convenient. Hot tub was great to soak in after the days ride. Cabin layout worked very well for our group."
