"Despite the stormy weather on our trip this part of the world is very beautiful and rugged. There are also lots of excellent eateries and fresh seafood in North Devon . The house itself is very relaxing and has everything you might need for a stay. The town itself of Appledore has a few nice pubs - the best one (The Champ) happens to be round the corner from the cottage."

"Myself and my 2 children (10 &14) had a lovely stay at Rosie's cottage. The cottage was clean, beds were comfy, everything you need in the kitchen. The cream tea on arrival was a lovely touch. The swimming pool was a perfect temperature and could be used whenever we wanted. The peacocks in the garden kept my youngest occupied along with the trampoline. "Delightful accommodation with plenty of space to for our three generations and what a location. Had not known about Appledore before we went but its just perfect, would definitely reccomend, from the rockpooling and crabbing opportunities with the kids to wandering down to the Coffee Cabin first thing and simply enjoying the holiday atmosphere and estuary views. We finshed with a meal at the Beaver Inn (book early as its busy)- really nice pub. Oh, and not forgetting the Devonshire ice cream...

"Loved the property and the surroundings the weather was typical English but plenty of walking through the woods so stayed dry even when it rained. People had mentioned damp smell it was hardly noticeable one thing to be aware of is the drive it’s steep off of the road so if you have a low fronted vehicle it catches."

Riversmeet is well appointed and furnished, with plenty of storage space, and is perfectly located to take advantage of the comings and goings of the tide, the glorious sunsets, the boats and the many dogs and their walkers on the beach, all from your sofa. "Had a lovely 3 night break, cottage is lovely a really nice comfy bed and furnishings very nice, garden front and back gardens could do with a bit of tlc but can see that someone has started to put some plants in, would really make the cottage perfect if the outside pace were improved. Had an issue with getting onto property due to Vrbo giving us an incorrect code for the key box!! Appledore is a great place everything just a short stroll away, good pubs and The Yard is a fab place to eat."
