"Hotel is more like a hostel. The bar and restaurant for dinner and after evening was fun and the staff were absolutely outstanding. The beach views are phenomenal and the location is great. But the hotel room itself is awful. The air conditioner/heater didn’t work, the bathroom had absolutely no counter space. The shower was in an old rinky dink bath tub with an old school shower curtain. The shampoo and conditioner in the shower had the tops off and the bottles were empty. The back of the bathroom door was chipped, stained, and dirty. The pillows were lumpy like they were filled with chunks of foam. The room was beyond yucky. I never leave bad reviews, I’m sorry Duna Parque, but trying to save someone else from my awful experience. In dire need of a remodel. "

"We had a wonderful, relaxing time at Antonio's house. The farm plot is absolutely stunning and we enjoyed our daily morning and evening walks along the paths that go around the perimeter of the property. The sunrise and sunsets are just gorgeous. The house itself is simple but still has everything we needed. Antonio was very welcoming and gave us lots of tips and recommendations on what to do in the area. If you are looking for a simple and peaceful holiday in the countryside, this is for you. We will 100% be returning."

"The apartment was clean and comfortable. It was decorated beautifully in a North African style. We had a good range of cooking utensils to use when we cooked our dinner. Breakfast was lovely and there was lots to choose from. The garden is well-kept and the pool looked inviting, even though we didn’t use it on this visit. I would definitely come back for a longer visit. The only problem we had was that our Satnav and Google maps kept giving us the wrong directions."

"When planning our walk on the Rota Vicentina, we weren't sure the extra distance to reach Quinta Chocalhino (Cowbell Farm!) from Odemira would be worth it but it was and Teresa made sure we didn't have to walk any farther than Odemira. Our stay at this family-run agriturismo was lovely: our room was incredibly comfortable and breakfast was perfectly suited to our tastes and dietary restrictions (one of us is a gluten-free vegetarian). We didn't have much energy to explore the grounds (or try the pool) during our one-night stay but we loved that there were donkeys, geese/ducks, turkeys, dogs, and cats staying on the farm with us. We got rained on during our day's walk to Odemira and were pleasantly surprised to find a clothes rack and dehumidifier in our room for drying out our wet gear. Teresa also lit a fire in the Great Room for us and we relaxed after dinner in front of the fireplace with our books and delicious red wine from the Alentejo region. We left the next morning rejeuvenated and ready to tackle our next stage to Sao Teotonio!"
