The personal we’re not friendly. Upon check in the other couple were given an upgrade at no additional cost. When my wife asked the receptionist was it possible to get an upgrade as welll she was very short with my wife saying she would have to check with the manager. We went to our room which was very small the phone wrang and my wife answered and was told an upgrade was not possible and hung up. Rude people! Never stay here again.

Beside the seaside
Great location, near beach and restaurants, and helpful staff. The building itself is an art deco gem and the rooms have the same style.

The Mercury Biarritz was in a perfect location. Everything was within walking distance. The hotel was very clean, beds were very comfy. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful!

The views overlookng the Atlantic are awesome. The restaurants and shops are 2 minutes walk, cant wait to go back.

Great Stay when the air-conditioning can be used
The hotel is in a great location. It is clean and well equipped. The staff are friendly and helpful with excellent English. Our only discomfort was no air-conditioning. The temperatures were quiet high during our stay and we would have likedxto have used the air-conditioning, especially at night. Apparently the hotel's system was still on winter mode and so the cooling could not be used. This meant we had three bad nights of sleep. We were either too hot with the doors to the balcony open or kept awake by the revellers below.

Hotel is very central and is decorated in an Art-Deco style. Rooms are clean and comfortable although the air conditioning is not very powerful. Staff were pleasant and extremely helpful .

Very well located near beach and shops. Rooms updated by recent refurbishment in a old art deco style and were nice and clean. Superior room is good size. Sound proofing is not great and breakfast is a bit plain

My view was opening my curtains and seeing construction workers looking at me ! The window was next to construction work on the building beside. Was not too pleasant waking up to this view and people looking.

I would book again.
Overall a very nice hotel with a great location and some nice nostalgic décor. A few people might say it was slightly tired in places and the rooms were not 100% clean for those with microscopes.

The room was smaller than I expected. The receptionist on arrival had no eye contact. We used the Bell Boys luggage rack and took ourselves to our room. The towels were thin. Plus point was that it had a local car park. We would not go back.

Always a nice stay!
This was my fourth stay at this hotel, located right opposite the Grande Plage, right near the casino if you are into gaming. They also have a car park available right up the street, less than 100 yards. The room is large and cozy. In short, well appointed. I booked one with full ocean view, which was very soothing at night. I did not have breakfast this thing, (see pic attached) but did so in the past and it was OK. Just didn't seem worth the money this time around. The hotel location is perfect, giving you a quick access to plenty of food options.

We had a great stay here! Location is perfect, near the beach and good restaurants. Room was large and had a nice window, also had a fridge in the room. Good value for money and friendly service.

Not the ritz in Biarritz but good value for money
This is a good, comfortable mid-price hotel in the center of Biarritz. A great place to stay if you're traveling on a budget.
