Book a Top Berwick Forest Motel

"Lovely clean hotel with great views of the moon and sunrise from our ocean view room. Parking was easy. Took us a few attempts to get into the hotel from the carpark as the door latch seem to catch a little. Room was clean and well appointed with a comfy bed. TV took a while to respond and it took me a while to realise I needed to wait for it. Great amenities in the shower, though someone had already opened and used the bath salts that were provided. Great water pressure. Unfortunately the shower doesn't have a lip around it and the entire bathroom floor was soaked as water went everywhere. Really friendly and pleasant staff. Will definitely stay here again."

"We stayed in a garden studio and it was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Decent little kitchenette. The fold out couch wasn’t very comfy - I think it would be fine for a smaller child. Beautiful setting and we really enjoyed waking up to the beautiful country views."

"The facilities were excellent and the host John was friendly and congenial and throughout our stay ensured we had everything we needed. He was informative about the local area and recommended things to see which was much appreciated. A bonus was we really enjoyed feeding the animals and learnt a lot about alpacas. "

"Accomodation had been double booked. Instead of cancelling the booking from their end the host messaged me on trivago, since I was expecting a message anyway for the login code, and you have to login to read messages I left it. Host also alerted trivago it was double booked, who did not contact me either. Drove all the way to Dunedin with 2 kids, stranded and nowhere to stay. Spent $400 to stay at scenic circle for the first night, Dunedin was booked out for the second night so we had to drive all the way home again. Spent many hours arranging activities, as well as spending money on dinner bookings all of which we could not do."

"The room was clean and parking was very good. There are plenty of options for takeaways nearby. We were disappointed with check in though. We were at a family funeral and were aware check-in was early. We tried to call reception about 7 minutes past 6 to apologise for being late and to ask if they would leave a key hidden somewhere. Leaving our family earlier than we did would have been rude. We had to rush to get to the motel. The reception area was locked and the outdoor lighting was very poor. No one answered the bell outside reception. We finally found a note with our names and about 4 parties who were in the same boat. In fairness we were late but we had prepaid. Hoteliers do need to eat and have down time but 6pm is hardly midnight and keeping people up until midnight. "

"It was a wonderful cottage. Everything was as described and Sandra was quick to respond and a pleasure to deal with. We used the suggestion she left for breakfast in the morning and that was great. The cottage was close to the restaurants for dinner, although you cook have cooked for yourself if you wanted. We did make use of the washing machine which was clutch when you’re travelling just with carryon"
