"Beautiful property in the centre of Daroca. There is a private car park just behind the property though it’s good to check in first and they can direct you. Excellent food both for dinner and breakfast and very reasonably priced. Rooms are a very good size. Good welcome from reception staff and the waiter in the restaurant was particularly welcoming. Will be on our ‘revisit list’ for the future"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Berrueco?
The best area to stay in Berrueco is within the village itself, particularly around its central square and the streets immediately surrounding it.

This compact village is built around the Plaza Mayor, which acts as the main gathering spot. You'll find the local church, Iglesia de San Juan Bautista, standing prominently here, and the streets are narrow and winding, typical of a traditional Spanish village. It's a place where you can easily walk everywhere, and the pace of life is relaxed.

For couples seeking a tranquil escape, Berrueco village is an excellent choice. Its quiet lanes and the opportunity for leisurely strolls offer a peaceful setting. You're also well-placed to enjoy the local cuisine at the village's small eateries and experience the authentic rural Spanish lifestyle.

Families might also find the village appealing due to its calm environment and the chance for children to explore the outdoors without much traffic.
When is the best time to go to Berrueco?
For the most pleasant weather and to fully enjoy outdoor activities, the best time to visit Berrueco is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months.

During spring, the countryside around Berrueco is lush and green, and the temperatures are comfortably mild, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C. This makes it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the area, such as hiking or cycling around the nearby Gallocanta Lake, a renowned birdwatching spot. Couples looking for a romantic getaway will appreciate the tranquil setting and pleasant climate for leisurely walks and enjoying the local scenery.

Autumn also offers excellent conditions, with warm, sunny days and cooler evenings. Temperatures usually fall between 18°C and 28°C in September, gradually cooling down to 10°C to 20°C by late October. This period is superb for those interested in local culture and gastronomy, as many villages in Aragon hold their harvest festivals. Families might find this time particularly appealing for outdoor excursions, as the weather is stable, and the natural landscapes are vibrant with autumnal colours.

While summer (July and August) can be very hot, often exceeding 30°C, it's still a good option for visitors who enjoy warm weather and don't mind the heat.
