"We knew in advance that the hotel was under heavy renovation/construction, but this did not detract much from the stay. The worse (?) was that the panorama of the Eiger N wall from the balcony was somewhat marred by a construction crane (see photo) - not a big deal. We found room to park at the hotel. The breakfast buffet was great. The room is nicely furnished. One small fault: not enough power outlets around and just one USB outlet. And confusing light switches that operate on a delay and take time to master. The price is high, but so are most prices in Grindelwald"

"Beautiful lakeside location with charming adjacent restaurant. Staff are great and amenities are comparable to good hostels. Balcony off private 4-bed dorm was lovely. Great place to stay with family or traveling solo!"

"Place is fantastic with good view .. although it’s quite uphill walk it is accessible to everything . Location is great ! No air conditioning for summertime is quite cumbersome , although you can open window and provide you with a fan ."
