Such a great spacious room, but a let down on the cleanliness - surfaces unclean, had to go over various stains and smudges daily with a wet wipe :/ Maybe a result of the size of the room? Prehaps, but I think cleaners could pay more attention to detail in that regards. But as I said, 5/5 for the room layout :)

Beautiful room and very large for a European city. Views looking out into playground and trees was very nice. Close proximity to a very nice park and to the subway.

Favourite hotel in Berlin
The stay was fantastic as always! The room was lovely and spacious, clean and very comfortable. I cannot fault this hotel and its staff, who are very helpful and always friendly.

The fact that there is no air conditioner is a big problem mostly from June to October since it can get very very hot and unpleasant, other than that money for value its a good hotel, nice area, have supermarket close by and the staff is very nice and helpful

There's a kettle and some sugar sachets so i foolishly assume i can make coffee in the morning like any othrr hotel . Wrong. There's no coffee. When challenged they say they are an aparthotel and guests should buy their own. Not much use first thing in the morning with no clothes on . Ok, so if guests are expected to cook for themselves, why was there only one knife, one spoon and no forks. All for the price of a real hotel.

Excellent price-value hotel! I recommend it!
The stay was overall very good. This hotel is located in a residential area but is very close to 2 metro lines and main tram/bus lines, which makes it easy to travel around town. The room was very big and the kitchen area was great! I recommend the neighbourhood as there is tons of good restaurants, parks and shopping streets close by.

Super weekend break

We have stayed here several times as the rooms are large, with separate bedroom, living-room and small kitchen. It’s very clean and, whilst slightly out of the centre, close to an underground station. There are several supermarkets and good restaurants very nearby. However, the furniture and furnishings are increasingly tired looking - there is now a real air of neglect about the place. On this occasion the dish a washer was broken (a sign told us we’d could leave our dishes and they would be washed), the fridge door wouldn’t close properly, the safe didn’t work, our fan started to make a loud clattering noise which meant we wouldn’t be able to sleep, our tea and sugar weren’t replenished after our second day and, to cap it all, on our last day the lift was broken and no-one had thought to put a sign on the door on the third floor. We mentioned the fridge and the safe on our second day. We were told the fridge just needed defrosting and that would take a long time - it was 35 degrees outside, and had clearly been like that for a very long time! We complained again on our second day, but again nothing happened. When we complained about the fan, it was eventually replaced, but only after my husband absolutely insisted. Things do sometimes go wrong in hotels, but mostly the staff are eager to rectify things. Unfortunately not here, where indifference seems to have become the order of the day.

Super location being just far enough out of the centre to be quiet but close enough for a few Euro cab ride or a short underground trip into the main tourist sights Three great restaurants within two minute walk , a great cafe serving fantastic salads + cakes by a lake full of wildlife , an oriental snack bar and modern German restaurant for a full service meal The hotel itself has huge comfortabke rooms with kitchens if you want to cook yourself , easy with two supermarkets opposite Our third visit to this great hotel , very handy for Berlins nightspots , will certainly not be our last . Worth booking room with breakfast as the buffet was crammed with all you could eat , hot and cold , to set you up for a days sightseeing or relieve the symptoms of a big night out Multilingual staff all friendly and knowledgeable were the icing on the cake

When things go wrong staff cannot cope
The service at this hotel is a joke. During my stay my door handle was broken by the cleaning staff and I could not access my room. It took over two hours to fix (meaning I missed the event I was in Berlin to attend) and then I was told I had to change rooms. I was first offered a room that stank of smoke and then a smaller room. I was offered no help or meaningful compensation (apart from ‘the minibar is free’). I was also told that I would be contacted by management, but over a week later that has not happened. Aside from the bad service the rooms are tired and dirty; the dishwashers don’t work; the beds are hard and the pillows old and uncomfortable. I would never stay here again and I would advise against anyone else doing so.

QUIET but somewhat hidden location. Clearly was built to be apartments, not a hotel- which means you get a little kitchen. Super spacious room, could have parked a car in there! Fixtures are old, bathtub control trim broken. Bed was perfect. TVs are SUPER ULTRA old - really unusable. Front desk staff were ULTRA welcoming and friendly. 147 bus directly in front goes to city center & main rail station. U2 and U8 lines several blocks away. Two supermarkets and a nice café (Engelbecken) a few steps away.

Good base but....
Had a 1 bed apartment, really great local with easy access to all attractions across city. Good shops nearby for most things. Good breakfast, staff very good. There are only 2 things which would mean I may not book here again. The carpet in the room appeared to be heavily stained and needed replacing or a deep clean, also myself and guest both had bites on out feet/legs also in the direct access area to the hotel people smoked cannabis so the smell lingered and waste from this was on the streets

We stayed for 4 days on two separate occasions (December 19-22) & (December 26-30). We didn’t realize that this was a boutique hotel, that had limited front desk hours over the holidays that we had not been informed of prior. We also discovered that their housekeeping services do not include cleaning dishes , nor replacing clean glasses. On our secord stay our in room safe malfunctioned (very luckily with none of our contents inside), with absolutely no follow up on rectifying the problem. Jordan was very accommodating when we asked to be moved from a sub-par room.

Well located hotel close to U bahn
The hotel is well located next to supermarkets and public transportation. Check in was very straight forward and the staff member spoke good English which was useful as my German is poor. The room we booked was a family room which was very comfortable, quiet and spacious with nice views of the local area. The room facilities were very good and well laid out. The room was very well equipped with plenty of space for storage and relaxation. On the downside the room was not that clean in places, specifically the kitchen area which had the previous guest’s rubbish in the bin, a damp used tea towel and the carpet which needed hoovering in the bedroom area. Check out was problematic as there were no staff about except for a catering staff member who had to telephone someone to organise our check out over phone. Overall, we had a pleasant time and would use this hotel again.

spacious room and in a very trendy part of town.
the room was a really good size. linen and towels needed a good bleach but that's all I could pick on. everything was great. it's also very central yet with the comforts of not being surrounded by tourists. lots of bars and restaurants in that area. felt like staying around Shoreditch area in London. close to train and buses. the staff were very friendly. 100% recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at NH hotel the staff were amazing and so helpful we had a drama with a lost passport that was being sent to meet as at the hotel but it didn't arrive in time before we left to go to Hamburg and then to Amsterdam so they so kindly assisted us with posting to our hotel in Amsterdam and we received it with no worries. So I highly recommend this hotel the rooms were fantastic lists of room to move outstandingly clean and great location in kreuzberg quiet and easy access to the lively parts of kreuzberg. Wonderful hotel in every way

Beware "family" room does not have room for family
There was some confusion over the type of room booked. The "Family" room, that we booked was, as far as we were aware, a room with a double bed and a single bed in the lounge area as per the photos. On arrival we were told that "no, all family rooms only have one bed". Yet when pressed and shown a photo from the website where this clearly wasn't the case, they conceded that "yes, there are rooms like that in the hotel, but they are all fully booked and we cannot move you until tomorrow". So, for one night, we made do. Then the following morning we went down to talk to someone about it again and once more we were told the same line. That or we would have to pay 23 Euros extra to have a bed in our room. I'm not sure how a "family" room can really be for a family if it only has a double bed... The staff made it out to be our fault for "not booking correctly" and "not writing what we needed on the booking form". So, out of pocket by over 100 Euros for the stay we had, we are not at all happy with the service at all.

We were happy with this hotel, our room was huge and very comfortable and the staff was fantastic. Public transportation was nearby and restaurants and bars in Kreuzberg are a just quick walk away. The hotel was a bit worn and old, definitely in need of updating but overall we enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel.

Perfect hotel for our stay in Berlin
Very pleasant place to stay. Everything what you need. Very helpful and polite personnel . Spacious appartment, comfortable bed , very quite we spend an excellent weekend . It was so nice to wake up in the morning and hear the birds singing in the inner yard of the hotel. Then go down to have a tasty breakfast with coffee. Definetely will recommended it to everybody. All sightseeings are 20 to 30 min walking distance.

Hotel was fairly easy to get to using public transportation. There is a bus stop out front, and a underground train station close by. The kitchenette was good, and there is an Aldi grocery store right outside. We were a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathroom upon check in, as there was hair all over the floor. The rest of the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The rooms get fairly warm during the day, I would recommend a fan to make the stay more enjoyable. The area was quiet enough that we could keep the windows open during the night to let in the cool breeze. We would stay again.

Thoroughly recommendable
This is a hotel within a modern block of apartment, i.e. all the 'rooms' are actually spacious suites incl. a small kitchen, spacious bathroom and separate bedroom. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy, and the choice of foods (incl. allergy-friendly) at beakfast was great. The location is two sub-way stops away from Alexanderplatz and around the corner from two late-opening supermarkets, yet relatively quiet. This is not luxury, but one of the best hotels I've stayed in. If you're looking for a really good place to stay during a city-break, this is vakue for money!

Not the same as other NH locations
I have stayed in NH hotels in other countries and the accommodations had always been really good. This hotel is hidden in the back of a residential alley, and it is difficult to find if you arrive after dark. The parking lot is in a completely different building underground and you will have to know the place to identify which door you can use to take the hotel's elevator if this is your first visit.

Awkward location but...
I booked this hotel as it is nearby Alexanderplatz but the location is not "usual" for an NH hotel. This hotel is more like a suites building. The personnel aare kind, helpful and very nice but the front desk closes at 10:30 pm. After this time you depend solely on a nearby NH hotel. Other than this, the quLity is comparable to an Embassy Suites hotel, very clean, kitchenette is fully equiped and functional, the room was spotless and ready at arrival. The amenities were first class, two flat screen TVs and a privacy for my son sleeping in a fold in bed that was cery comfortable. The neighborhood was not the best but very safe, walking distance to U-bahn and S-bahn, close to Alexanderplatz And great shopping and musenum island if you like to walk. I would stay in this hotel again, for the price it is a bargain and includes breakfast buffet that is average ro above average in quality. The front desk made arangements for all my needs and I think that I got my money worth. If you are used to luxury and detailed personalized attention, this hotel is not for you, if you want to be comfortable and enjoy your days and put more money in real traveling, this is a great option.
