The Berystede is a magnificent looking hotel, I was greeted by the reception staff with a warm welcome and check in was easy. The room was a good size but for the amount paid it looked a bit sad in places. There were big chunks of paint missing off of the radiator, the bathroom ceiling had brown marks on it, there were areas on the side of the bath that hadn't been cleaned. Plug sockets were placed in odd areas of the room and nowhere near nightstands for charging phones/devices. The spa itself is lovely, lots of different rooms in the thermal suite. The showers in the suite look like they need a bit of work because not all the buttons seemed to work properly. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent,the food was delicious and the service was good. Checkout was easy. I'd stay again, but I hope the room wouldn't look so tired next time because I felt a bit let down. This wasn't a cheap 2 night stay, it was meant to be something special and it was expensive.

Nice and relaxing hotel in a classic old building. Although the rooms are a little dated, it is in keeping with the old fashioned style of the building so it added to the character. The restaurant done some amazing food for dinner. The scotch egg starter and the monkfish main were amazing! Spa facilities very good.

I previously stayed at this place several months ago and had a terrible time principally because there was poor internet. This time not only did I get great internet but I had a wonderful room. I recommend the top floor. I was in 365. Comfy bed, huge bathtub, space heater on demand although once I got it functioning the room heating was excellent. I stayed there this time because everything as booked up. A side note: the previous night I had stayed at the Royal Forester in Ascot. The rooms are nothing special but if you get a breakfast package, you get a feast of unbelievable choices included.

Nice hotel, full breakfast choice and bar meal was good. nice to see elemis products in the room, I would of expected body moisturiser to be included as well as cotton wool/buds/shower cap.

So much potential but needs a lot of work
We were staying for one night with our 19 month old daughter. The good: - Lots of parking available - Bar and Restaurant staff were lovely - The foyer was beautifully decorated with a lovely Christmas tree - The food we had was lovely and they had good options for our daughter - We requested a cot for our daughter and it was in the room ready for us. - The suite we were in was large, so lots of room for the little one. The bad: - We opted for a room upgrade (so paid extra for a suite) it was a little tired looking with chipped paint and stains on the bed canopy - The phone and television remote (which was sellotaped together) did not work, so we had to walk down to reception if we needed anything. - There was a random fire exit sign in the room so there was constantly a little green light on and at one point in the night the whole sign lit up which not only woke us up but also our daughter. - There was obviously an event being held at the hotel and so we had people screaming and shouting outside our door at midnight because our room was located by the water fountain. - when we checked into our room at 3pm there were two trays with food/room service just left on the floor by the water fountain. The trays were still there when we exited our room the next day at 7.30am - The man who we initially talked to at the front desk wasn’t very welcoming - We wanted to use the swimming pool but were told that you’re only given a robe if you’re paying for treatment.

Convenient to Ascot and Sunningdale but hotel now looks tatty and staff are aloof, detached and disinterested. Walked in via the Conference Centre and got all the way to Reception to find little interest in us from Reception staff. Nobody asked if we needed any help. Our room was fine. Large bathroom.

Main hotel facilities are lovely and have been refurbished. Swimming Pool and Spa area is a highlight. Bedrooms that I have stayed in are still in need of refurbishment, but always clean.

Lovely. Just don't expect too much from the rooms.
This is a lovely hotel with a beautiful reception, gym and dining facilities. The staff are very helpful as well. The rooms however are a little tired and in urgent need of modernisation.

A friendly welcome and a buzz from the bar, the reception boasts comfort and character. Unfortunately our room was not great. Broken window, phone did not work, air con not working. Chips and mould in the bath, holes on walls around sockets. The spa area really needed cleaning and wiping up every hour. In room dining the food was good with an £8 tray charge which was a bit pricy. The breakfast staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious. This was not a 4 star experience but can always make improvements to get there….

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The spa is lovely although the changing rooms could have used a clean. The hydro pool makes it all worth it

Disappointing
We were moved here as the hotel we booked in Ascot was full. This hotel was also full but it felt like we were given what would be an adjoining room that sadly joined to a room that had a hen party having a great time until 2am Sandwich ordered to room at 9.35pm as no other food available. Only option ham which arrived on floppy white bread with spam/ham and a few scattered crisps. We paid £21 for 2 sandwiches. Toiletries Elemis was just a hand/body soap and a shampoo Receptiin staff were lovely and breafast good. Although if you want a cappacino its another £4

Perfect location for the races and great to have free parking. Fine for one nights stay, you get what you pay for, had everything we needed for the night in a basic double room. Bit grubby and dated, pool area was a bit run down. Corridors are very loud and noisy, not really the hotel's fault, but the doors don't help to stop noise coming in. Shame because the hotel and grounds look lovely and it was probably a really expensive plush hotel back in the day.

What people don't understand is how GREAT this hotel and spa are. The Spa has one of the best Hotel gyms and pools with a hydro spa that I have ever enjoyed. The property is beautiful and very safe. Yes perhaps the rooms are a little outdated, but for the price, this is a fantastic place to stay!!!

Hotel has very dated decor. Some parts are a bit tired and could do with a bit of tlc. No EVC points so not very green. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Hotel is ok - does the job.
Have stayed here before. It's ok, and they have the indoor pool and sauna/steam room etc. Check-in wasn't so welcoming, with a stern welcome and being informed we were too early. But a quick call found a room available - but a £30 charge to go and leave our bags in there. This despite the room already being ready. We only wanted to drop the bags in as we were off to see family. How not to welcome people, we said to each other. Room was ok. Spa ok, but always seems to be a bit tired. Breakfast is adequate and the hotel bar has Peroni on draft. Usual question - would we stay here again? It's a yes, but only if we want a steam room to use. Their £30 charge to put a bag in an empty room might cost them.

Stayed evening prior to playing nearby Sunningdale. Well located, secure parking and great (if expensive) breakfast. Room 110 a little tired, but would stay again.

At check-in, I asked for a late extension past their posted 11 a.m. The receptionist said they had many check-ins the next day and could not accommodate me. I checked out just before 11 and the lobby was deserted of the promised check-ins. There was no WIFI in my room...only in the lobby and conference areas. A nice gentleman tried to fix the problem but was baffled. The soap in my shower container was empty resulting in my bouncing in and out of the tub to get gel from the sink. The hotel is worse than Fawlty Towers. At Basil tried to accommodate guests. This place wants knocking down and fresh staff appointed. My stay was a nightmare from start to finish.

Further to your feedback i would just like to say that we where fully booked the night of your checkout. The empty lobby was due to all of the conference guests in in meetings. With regards to the internet i am sorry that your phone could not get online. After 40 minutes i did in fact help in getting your laptop online. Royal Ascot Stay
Nice sized room, comfy bedding and all clean, however, it could benefit from some modernising. Spa facilities were great. Restaurant food quality was not matched with the hotel and definitely needs improving. Shuttle buses were provided for Royal Ascot which was amazing, although £20pp each way was rather steep considering it’s 1.5miles away and there’s 8 seats (£160 for each full cab).

Absolutely the worst hotel we’ve been to in years Holes in the carpet Paint flaking off the woodwork Mild in the bathroom Air con useless Fridge not working Wi-Fi at a snails pace Safe wouldn’t close To top it off I booked and paid via hotels.com almost a year ago But at checkin my card was charged £782 Luckily I spotted the transaction the following morning, however I’m still waiting for the money to be returned
