Really liked this hotel, the spa downstairs was really good. The hotel had lots of capacity and the breakfast was great. The staff will happily hold your luggage if you are flying out on an afternoon flight 😃🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👍
Really lovely stay! Room was clean, staff were helpful and breakfast was very good! There was so much character in the hotel, it's somewhere I would definitely reccommend to others.
Lovely restaurant/ great location / vibey cocktail bar - value for money / parking is extra..but pity about the attitude of the reception staff when you arrive after a long flight …but def good option for an over night stop ...👍

OK, I think this hotel is rated a 4* I would not rate it that high. Our experience:-
Pro's
Location - Very good, somewhat quiet street so not too noisy. Easy walking or public transport to most tourist venues.
Staff - all very welcoming and helpful apart from breakfast staff who I found to be curt and officious. No welcome, no escort to seat, no explanation of buffet. It really was help yourself.
Beautiful building. Coinverted monestary. The frescoe's on the walls and painted ceiling in the bar added atmosphere.
Michelle, bartender was excellent and very helpful.
Room, generally clean, quiet, air conditioned.
Con's
Room. Standard room was small. Form above function. Wardrobe space contained, safe and mini fridge. More a 'boutique' style. No cupboards or drawers. No under unit shelf or storage in bathroom. Two bathrobe hooks. Perfect for a short stay of 2 nights or so, but longer stays not so much. Bed was firm but not uncomfortable.
Breakfast. Although included, very poor by other European 4* standards. It was just about adequate. For 2 years, reviews have mentioned about the limitations of one coffee machine and its positioning. You would think the hotel management may have rectified this by now? Still only one machine. 3 people queueing and it becomes a congested space. I found the coffee bitter, despite the cups being branded 'Illy', I couldn't say for sure that this was the coffee used? Overall, we gave up on the breakfast offering and ate elsewhere.
