This VRBO was everything we wanted and needed in Bergamo. Check in was seamless and the location was close to bus stops which made it wonderful. Additionally, you’re right in next to a beautiful walk through the high city without being in a very busy area if you want to go back and relax. We couldn’t recommend it more!

Just take in consideration the size and weight of the bags, the apartment is located on the 2nd floor (no lift - narrow stairs) we had medium carry on (13kg) and was ok.

Het is een erg leuk appartement op de 3de etage (trap). In de grote woonkamer staan 2 slaapbanken (1 en 2 persoons), grote keukentafel. De keuken heeft een professioneel nespresso apparaat met cups (goede koffie). Verder is alles wat je nodig hebt in de keuken. Koelkast ontbreekt. Wel een wijnkoeler. 2 badkamers waarvan 1 met bad (is maar ongeveer 160cm hoog dus je moet wel klein zijn of krom staan om in de ruimte te zijn. De slaapkamer is ruim met 2 persoons bed. Alles met airco (1woonkamer doet het niet). Parkeren is probleem. Alleen in parkeergarage, €30 per dag (wel dichtbij)

Die Unterkunft an sich ist zu empfehlen. Positiv zu erwÀhnen ist auf jeden Fall die sehr gute Lage direkt in der Altstadt. Zudem ist die Wohnung schön eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Allerdings ist die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern bei uns nicht optimal gelaufen. Vor allem der Check In und der Check Out ist schwierig gewesen. Beim check in haben wir lange gewartet bevor uns die Vermieterin geantwortet hat und wir 1,5 Stunden spÀter endlich in die Wohnung konnten. Beim check out ist zwei Stunden vor eigentlichen Check out plötzlich jemand in die Wohnung gekommen und wollte dass wir die Wohnung verlassen. Also grundsÀtzlich schöne Wohnung in guter Lage aber Kommunikation und Check In/Out mit den Vermietern schwierig.

Super nette Vermieterin. Sehr zuvorkommend. Hat alles super geklappt trotz extrem spĂ€ter Anreise nach Mitternacht. SchlĂŒsselabgabe flexibel und unproblematisch. Tolle, total nett eingerichtet Wohnung bestens erreichbar. Wir haben es vielen Freunden bereits empfohlen und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Difficile de cuisiner car la cuisine n'est pas Ă©quipĂ©e pour. Cela ne nous a pas pĂ©nalisĂ©es car nous avons mangĂ© dehors. En revanche pour une famille, il manque des ustensiles. De la poussiĂšre un peu partout. Asthmatiques s'abstenir. Demander Ă  l'avance des explications pour le stationnement sinon vous serez verbalisĂ©s. N'espĂ©rez pas dĂ©poser vos valises au pied de l'immeuble sans ĂȘtre verbalisĂ©s (ZTL zone Ă  traffic limitĂ©).

L'endroit est idĂ©al pour des vacances rĂȘvĂ©es Ă  Bergame. Annachiara et Emmanuele sont des hĂŽtes remarquables qui portent une attention toute particuliĂšre au bien ĂȘtre de leurs invitĂ©s. Tout est mis Ă  disposition pour faciliter le sejour. Des petites attentions pour l'arrivĂ©e jusqu'aux conseils prĂ©cieux pour dĂ©couvrir le coin. La maison est situĂ©e en plein coeur de la haute ville, avec une vue magnifique sur la ville basse depuis le salon. Elle a un charme fou et du caractĂšre. Un grand merci Ă  tous les deux pour avoir contribuĂ© Ă  rendre notre sĂ©jour inoubliable Ă  Bergame. Au plaisir de vous revoir.

Wir haben uns in dieser toll ausgestatteten, zentral gelegenen Wohnung sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt. Alles war sauber und schön. Manchmal muss man auf seinen Kopf aufpassen, weil ÜbergĂ€nge niedrig sind - Altbau halt. Aber dafĂŒr wohnt man in der CittĂ  Alta.

Schöne, grosse und gut eingerichtete Wohnung inmitten der Altstadt. Aus dem Fenster des Wohnbereichs hatte man einen tollen Blick auf den unteren, neuen Stadtteil von Bergamo. Das Highlight war natĂŒrlich die hölzerne Badewanne. Bei den heissen Temperaturen im Juli war das die Gelegenheit um den ĂŒberhitzten Körper abzukĂŒhlen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

When we arrived we could smell the odor of burnt wood on the first level. I asked the owner/manager if I could open the windows, she said no, it would rain on the floors. I then asked her where the second bed is and she proceeds to open a single chair bed in the living room. This is situated next to the fireplace that stinks, with burnt chars of wood still in it. After trying fruitlessly to sleep, I sprayed the fireplace with perfume. I had to put on the a/c unit and a fan to keep the air moving. I had e-mailed her and she told me not to use the a/c, that it was broken (not true) and we did not need it since it was not hot out. She said that the previous occupants had lit the fireplace and there was nothing she could do. That I could vacuum the fireplace myself. The vacuum would not turn on, because the power went off. I turned on the small washing machine in the morning and the electric kept shutting off. The bathtub does not drain , neither did one of the bathroom sinks. Power in the kitchen went out including the refrigerator, the outlets in the living room and the lights in the bedroom. We reset it 3 times . We were afraid of fire and I am not a repairman The maintenance on this apartment is severely lacking. Electrical cords are running all over. After this we decided we had to leave, this was a fire and environmental hazard and unsafe. I had to hand wring out all of my wash and pack it wet in my luggage. Unfortunately for us it cost us $300. a night to find a hotel in Milan on such short notice. Bergamo Citta Alta is one of my favorite places and this was a painful decision. We fled the apartment and I e-mailed her to tell her and request a refund which she never responded to. I have never had to do this and incur expensive hotel costs to flee. This apartment is also photo-shopped. The living room is full of furniture and the pull-out bed is again a single chair bed. No stove/cooktop, only a hot plate for cooking. The ceiling height in the bath is for children. The location is way down the hill. The stairs up are wooden and rickety if you are carrying luggage. I have stayed in this city several times and this was the worst location and a dangerous situation. This owner has no problem lying, and not addressing problems. Frequently I have used Home Away and have experienced positive stays. I would not recommend anyone booking a trip here. This is a problematic rental, not a Home Away from Home. A house of horrors.

Bergamo CittĂ  Alta is lovely and the place to stay so long as you have no car, otherwise you have to park at the CittĂ  Bassa. The apartment is comfortable. Could be a bit cleaner. The kitchen is poorly equipped if you plan to eat in. Head height in one of the bathrooms is very restricted (over 164 cm and you have to duck. Two flights of steep wooden stairs to get to apartment. Apartment has aged ambience and decor that fits well with the area.

I was worried that the photos of the apartment were too go to be true but they proved to be just the opposite. It apartment is lovely a little quirky but perfectly appointed with everything you need. The only change I would recommend is to add a coffee table or side tables in the living room so there is somewhere to put your coffee. Other than that it was great and the location, in old town, very close to the funicular was also perfect for us. We did day trips to Monza and Modena (F1 race and Ferrari museum), and Lake Como they were all close as it was easy to get on the autostrada. Our host was amazing all the basics were provided for breakfast and oils vinegar and spices if you wanted to cook dinner ( we love to cook in). All in all a great place we will be back for sure

The apartment is in the heart of the medieval town in a quiet residential area across from a historic church filled with amazing works of art. It is a quick walk beyond the walls to get to the Carrara. The apartment is an ideal spot for getting to know Bergamo. Annachiara, our host, was very responsive. We had a long stay of 12 days and would have liked an oven and freezer. Verderosa on Cesare Battisti near the Carrara sells fabulous ice cream-the Bergamaschi buy it to bring home and we would have liked to to do that too. Nevertheless, we were able to make fantastic meals. Citta Alta has no supermarkets but there are several shops selling high quality food on the main street. Tresoldi panificio has great bread and makes the best polenta and osei pastry ( a Bergamo specialty-yellow marzipan confection) We had a wonderful stay in this quiet and comfortable apartment.
