Acceptable but in need of modernisation.
This was a first night stop of our Italian adventure, knowing we would be arriving late and leaving early. We did not book breakfast and were really looking for a place to lay our heads before starting our journey.
Problems with the car hire pick-up meant we were arriving about an hour after expectations and so it was after 11pm when we got there. However, reception staff were immensely courteous and very efficient. The room was on the second floor and had everything we needed for an overnight stop. Bed was comfortable but the door reverberated when other guests closed theirs. In fact, the hotel fittings are looking old and tired and in our room we had a light switch that didn't work.
In the morning again the noise of the other guests woke us up and there was 'work' being completed in a close room that caused an echo in our room.
However, the good things we remember are the good sized towels and the effervescence of the receptionist.
