"We loved our stay at Pinzgauer Hof. Our family stayed at the Landal down the road and though more modern they were complaining about the noise from the traffic coming through while everything was so peaceful and quiet for us. The Hof is conveniently placed at the foot of the mountain next to the gondola. "We stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed it. The outside facing rooms are more expensive but we had an inside west facing room on the second floor (looking onto a very large grassed area) which still had amazing views of the mountains. Nothing to dislike about this hotel."
"Explorer Hotel Berchtesgaden exceeded our expectations. The rooms -- with all having an amazing view -- provides a very efficient use of space. The breakfast buffet is outstanding -- offering an array of delicious items. And the service staff was top notch.
And you can't find a better location to the popular attractions. Bus line 840 and 843 is a quick 10-minute trip from the Berchtesgaden train station. And the boat ride and Jennerbahn are 1 and 2 bus stops respectively.
If you are an active person who wants great accommodations and easy access to the attractions of Berchtesgaden National Park, you will be hard pressed to find a better option.

"The breakfast quality was excellent and the waitresses wore traditional dress, reception was very helpful, the room was lovely although a little small but did have tea & coffee making facilities and a balcony from which we could see the eagles nest ( when the clouds cleared ) so all in all fabulous place 2 minutes drive from town which was perfect for us.
