Falls Edge Farm Cottage

Leave the city behind for the serenity of this 2-bed, 2-bath cottage boasts a large full kitchen and is nestled on a 34 private acre Alpaca Farm so you can relax surrounded by the serene forest. Ricketts Glen State Park is just 1.6 miles away, boasting scenic waterfalls, countless hiking trails and endless wildlife. Take a day trip to Knoebels Amusement Park, peruse the on-site alpaca shop, lounge in the hammock, enjoy a campfire or go swimming, kayaking, fishing or boating at Lake Jean.
Cottage is in the middle of 34 acres of wooded area. The owner is on the premises. You cannot see neighbors from the cottage. Secluded in the woods. I do need to just be clear about the internet - we are in the mountains and although we provide the best internet service available here, we do not guarantee the speed or reliability of the internet.
You will need a car. There is no Food delivery, or Uber here. The closest taxi will cost $150.00 just to pick you up.

  • The best hike if you like waterfalls, to be precise there are 22 of them. To see them all you will have to hike for about 7 miles. Dog friendly. I highly recommend you won't regret it! The hike is not very difficult, with accessional hikes up and down, but it is long considering that you will stop to admire and take pictures at most of the waterfalls. Bring lunch, snack and water if you planning to see all 22 waterfalls.

Delightful!

We enjoyed our stay at Falls Edge so much! We spent 2 days hiking at Ricketts Glen so the location was perfect. The alpacas, chickens, ducks & kitties provided entertainment while at the house. The hosts were also extremely nice and fun to talk to. Highly recommend this place.

Clean, comfy and quiet

The house was beautiful. Everything looked brand new. It’s was very comfortable, quiet, and well stocked. We cooked all of our meals there including using the grill. We had a really great time spending a few days there with our friends. I definitely recommend this property.

Family extended weekend stay

Property owners are so kind and accommodating and easily available. Felt like home, yet with the excitement of being away. Place was clean and fresh. Girls loved petting the alpaca and the on-site alpaca store is a cool bonus! Also loved the farm fresh eggs available for purchase! Quiet and full of nature! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Falls Edge Farm Cottage. We wanted a place close to Ricketts Glen State Park and we got that and so much more!The owners Elaine and Patrick were friendly and accommodating and the boutique and winery on the premises were wonderful. We also loved the natural surroundings and had fun observing the animals on the property. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, the kitchen was great and the refrigerator held 4 perfect farm fresh eggs:)We will definitely return when we want to do more hiking in the area!

Overall, it's a pleasant stay and the owners were very friendly. The place was very quite located in the forest and within short distance to the Ricketts Glen Park. The house is very clean and well maintained. The only thing I can complain about is that the internet is satellite in this remote area and speed is a bit slow, but the Dish TV signal is quite good.
