MICHIANA #4: Second floor two bedroom one bath in downtown South Haven!

The Michiana Apartment #4 is available to mature, responsible and respectful adults and families only. We try to provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for our guests. We respectfully ask that you please take this into consideration should you choose the Michiana Apartment #4.

The Michiana was originally built in the late 1800s as a large single family home. Years ago it was converted into four separate apartments: two one bedroom apartments and two two bedroom apartments. The Michiana Apartment #4 is located on the second floor and has two spacious bedrooms with one queen bed in each bedroom. Each bedroom also has a closet, a dresser and a chair. The living room has comfortable seating as well as a large flat screen TV. Apartment #4 has had both mechanical and cosmetic updates while still retaining some of the original historic details and finishes. The apartment has a very functional floor plan (see pictures) that can comfortably accommodate a family of four or two adult couples.

There is a sun soaked outdoor deck directly adjacent to the apartment with western exposure which gets nice afternoon sun. Directly next to the deck is the off street parking area so you do not have to carry your luggage or your groceries too far when loading and unloading your car. Please note that this apartment is located on the second floor. Guests will need to walk up and down a full flight of stairs.

The location of the Michiana Apartment #4 is truly ideal. The location is what we like to call 'Close, but not too close!'. By this we mean that it is an easy walk home from the restaurants and night life on Phoenix Street, yet far enough away that you can still sleep peacefully at night. The walk to South Beach is only three blocks west straight down Michigan Avenue. This is the best of small town Americana! Have your morning coffee and sweet roll on a bench on Main Street, or in this case Phoenix Street, and watch people stroll by. Then head back to the apartment to change into your swim suit and walk down to the beach for a day of fun in the sun. We feel the Michiana is centrally located between downtown South Haven and the beautiful South Beach.

Beautiful, Relaxing Stay in South Haven

The property was so clean, everything was as listed and easy to find. Communication was near immediate. Nicely designed space, bedrooms and bathrooms. I would recommend anyone to stay at Michael's properties!

Perfect Beach Town/House Getaway

My fiancée and I were able to spend a weekend at Michael’s place here in South Haven, and it was absolutey perfect. Nice, clean, and great location within a 5 min walk one way to the beach, and a 5 min walk the other way to downtown. Cannot recommend this stay enough.

Weekend to relax

Very relaxing, weather was beautiful, able to walk wherever we wanted to go. A breakfast at Six Chicks Scratch Kitchen was excellent, midday drink stop at Captain Lou’s was fun, dinner at Sophie’s was very nice.

Wedding Anniversary Getaway

Perfect size/location for hubby and I for a quick getaway. First time staying here. Great location, close to town and beach. Very walkable area. We visit South Haven every summer (usually with kids) and would definitely stay here again!

Perfect beach town getaway

We had a fantastic time! Location is perfect, only a 5 minute walk to either the beach or downtown but tucked away enough that it’s quiet at nighttime. The apartment has all the amenities you would need and is comfortable and clean. We will definitely be back again!

Close to town

Thiss apartment was well appointed and cosy. It was a plus to have 2 bedrooms and the beds were really comfortable. We also enjoyed having our own balcony. We would definitely stay there again.

South Haven Girls Trip

My friends and I stayed at Michael's house for 3 nights the end of August 2023. The unit was very nice. The property was very close to the beach, marina, downtown dining and shopping. We had a great time.

First time to South Haven

We enjoyed our stay. Location was perfect. Basically parked the car and walked everywhere. We took a day trip to Holland to the Dutch Village(5yr old loved) and a quick trip to Saugatuck. South Haven had everything! Venezia Pizza, Chomps hot dogs, Sherman’s ice cream, Sunsetter cruise, pier, marina and BEACH. Sunsets were a generous gift from God.

Everything is in walking distance

The property manager was a little slow on responses, we didn’t get the access code until I sent him a message a couple of hours before we were going to check in. The rentals are in a great location for walking distance to the beaches and the downtown area. The inside is a little outdated, you can definitely tell it’s an older building. Michael has a great sense of customer service if you have any issues during your stay.
