A wonderful experience from check in to check out. We were here to celebrate a friends birthday. I must comment the bar staff they were so kind and helpful putting our cake and champagne in the fridge until we needed it. Alberto the young man on reception, os a credit to your company. What a wonderful young man. We will return ❤️

The hotel is ok, it’s clean. We stayed for 2 weeks, bed is very very hard, rooms are way too small, food it’s tasteless, plenty choices to eat. But if you have ever been to a hospital and had their food, it’s just like that. The staff ( lady) to add salt. But was not the salt it was not condiment in it. Staff not friendly, any way, I will never go back to that hotel.

This is a lovely little hotel. Perfectly situated to enjoy the Poniente Beach side of Benidorm with lots of lovely bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk and less. Lovely terrace bar thrown in. Every member of staff was lovely although the housekeepers don’t seem to understand the point of the do not disturb sign on the door. Breakfast was great with a vast variety of options from full english to fruit and pastry. Little tip for any Brits staying here. The Spanish do Not queue for anything. If you politely wait your turn for anything you will just be pushed in front of by everyone. This isn’t meant as a criticism, it is there country after all and I doubt they even realise what they are doing but it is frustrating for us Brits who are the world leaders and how to queue and wait our turn. Same with the lift. If you wait to allow people out they will just walk in front of you. So when in Rome (or Spain) you just have to do the same. All lovely people though.

Overpriced, but very nice mid-range hotel!

Overall the hotel is average mid-range with no minibar, which is a "must" for a hotel this category. Old doors everywhere, sofas in the room look worn an dirty, breakfast is overall very good. Tiny area for breakfast: people were standing in line (not enough tables). So, make sure you get there as soon as they open. Not enough solid soap (just a tiny average soap for the entire stay), besides there's 2 boxes full of liquid soap. Above average quality, but still, a hotel this high-priced should provide quality solid soaps. They did add 1 single tiny bottle of body lotion (for the entire stay or 3 nights!). Nice and comfy bed, chairs and tables to put your things on, overall very clean room and bathroom. Spacious room, plenty o plugs for recharging electronics. Good TV, but merely Spanish channels. Noisy cleaning lady kept bothering me by entering the room - no way to close the room, there is no special lock. Can be opened from outside by staff easily. Staff doesn't knock when they enter, they just ram through. There is a small bar (I think on the 6th floor with a somewhat obscured view towards the beach) and another one downstairs at the entrance with delicious trendy cocktails. The bartender at the 6th floor is a very kind guy who makes high quality cocktails (no kidding, much better than in the city!). The views are great and the prices are low. The lack of a minibar in the room is the main downside, as is the lack of an internal door-locking mechanism.

First time staying at Hotel Montemar and would very happily book again. Fantastic location, the friendliest staff both at reception and the dining room, good selection of food to choose from for every meal. The roof terrace is so relaxing with amazing views of the bay and glorious sunset. Bus stops outside hotel and short stroll to the old town.
