The restaurants in the hotel are very good, and serve a mix of Indian, North West Frontier Indian, pan Asian, Moroccan steak/grill depending on which one you go to. I didn't get a chance to use the gym, spa or pool but the rest of the hotel suggests they would also be of very good quality.
One thing that was quite annoying were power cuts in the evening. While core function circuits like the lifts (and, amusingly, wifi) remain operational there were several outages of other circuits, including lighting, room power and so on. The impression I got from the staff was that this was a common occurrence, and indeed, there were a few on consecutive nights. They would only last about 30 seconds or so, but still pretty annoying.
Other than that, the hotel was fine and seems to be among the better choices in the area.
The surrounding area, there isn't really much to speak of; it's a chaotic road which serves the tech hub offices and isn't the sort of place you would wander around exploring - if you want to go into Bangalore itself it's quite a way in a cab.
