"The view out the front window of the hotel is beautiful. The food was ok.. not amazing. I ordered the risotto and it was terrible. We ended up walking to a nearby restaurant for drinks and their restaurant was booked and had more options. Jay the manager was super friendly and the room was comfortable and the bathrooms newly renovated and clean."

"The hotel was great! It's a solid example of a proper Scottish hotel. Though the carpet on the stairs on some floors was showing its age, I honestly find that that adds to the character. I don't want a plastic perfect Scottish hotel. I want proof of people. The room I stayed in was the single, and it was a warm room, but the window opens all the way, which was so great. The view was nice as well from the 5th floor. The breakfast is affordable and really good value. I must give props to the in room amenities, especially the beverage station. The hot chocolate packet is a rarely seen gem, and it was such a nice way to wind down my evening. The shortbread wasn't the normal one you'd see, either, and it was delightful. I would absolutely stay here again."
