Fantastic spot close to Smith

My partner and I stayed here for a home base for a few days of climbing at Smith Rock. The house was great and the hot tub was perfect to relax after a hard day out. Would stay again!

Gorgeous views, lots of wildlife, nearby hikes

The views from the home and patio are unbeatable - even in the midst of summer smoke haze, there was plenty to see, including lots of birds and some lizard visitors. The grill was nice to have available, and it was very convenient to be able to walk to a nearby hiking trail!

March Trip

The views of the canyon and the mountains were amazing. It is a bit of a drive from town, but worth it. The house was well maintained, clean and comfortable. We had a great relaxing time and did some fun exploring as well.

Wonderful vacation getaway

Beautiful scenic get away on Crooked River Ranch. Close to golf course with deck overlooking canyon and can watch sunset from the hot tub.House is large and well appointed with large bedrooms , 2 bathrooms and all amenities anyone could need. Very clean with full washer and dryer.I loved my stay here

Amazing views, tranquil surroundings

The views are even more spectacular than the photos suggest. The place is clean and well-maintained. Jeff is an attentive, thoughtful host. Awesome hot tub!

On top of the incredible view, all the amenities you could think of were in the house. We used the grill both nights and had everything we needed in the kitchen. We did not want to leave!

The owner's photo of the deck over the Deschutes River canyon says it all. Peace, vast silence, soft warm winds carrying the scent of juniper and the volcanic earth itself. Two in the hottub watching the sun descend, a string of mountain peaks shaped against the dusk. Great hosts. They've done everything right and this place is a special piece of high desert magic.

The Canyon House was very clean. With the kitchen having plenty of spices, pots and pans, and other necessities to make cooking easy. Including a slow cooker. The outside was impressively clean. So much detail in the landscape, from the fire pit when the season allows, to the swing. The view can’t be beat! Be prepared for some wind, you are at the top of a mountain. Jeff was nice, I only saw him one time when I was outside doing a workout and he was caring for the hot tub. He shared a wonderful hike with us called Scout Camp Trail. It was a 1.25 mile walk to the trailhead, you can drive there, we chose to walk. You will love this place! It’s so clean!

Perfect Home, Beautiful View!

So easy. The host, Jeff, is accessible and yet he gives you privacy. This is our second stay here and love the view and relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
