Boiler Broken, Bathroom in Poor Condition, Major Works Outside House, Poor Communication from Owner
22 June: We arrived at 5.20pm. At 7.55pm we reported to the Owner that the house had no hot water. I said there was 7 of us, we had been traveling all day and we urgently needed hot water. Owner sent us a text to say "We will come and help you tomorrow morning". Plumber arrived at 10.30am on Sunday and fixed the problem and I texted Owner to say we had hot water. 24 June: I rang Owner at 9.05am to report that we had no hot water again. Owner said they would send a plumber again. After 3 hours, I rang Owner at 12 Midday for an update. Plumber came at 3.30pm and fixed the problem but he said that there was a major fault and a new part was required. He showed us a temporary fix. I rang, and texted the Owner to say the plumber had shown us a fix to get the pressure back up and the Owner gave us permission to do this. 26 June: I texted the Owner at 10am to say that the hot water was working but we were having to reset the pressure twice each day. We had no further communication with the Owner. 30 June: We left , however the boiler had still not been fixed properly after a full week. The Owner at no stage initiated any contact with us or send us any updates on the boiler or to check if we were ok. We always had to contact the Owner. Also in one bathroom there was flaking paint, black mold on the ceiling and wall and the sink is coming away from the wall. There was major noisy works directly outside the house, including concrete cutting that covered our cars in dust.
