This Hotel has limited parking, so you will need to rent a space across from the hotel. The hotel will arrange this for you. A five minute walk down the Plimer steps will get you to the main shopping district. From there you can take the cable car to the botanical garden or a bus to Mount Victoria. Or just walk to the waterfront. The room came with a combination washer/drier. If Wellington is a mid point for your travels, this is a very useful feature. They even provide soap powder. Wellington weather is changeable in the winter. So, dress in layers. The front desk closes early, so make sure you let the hotel know if you are going to be a late arrival.
