La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Sandusky near Cedar Point

"Overall, our stay was fine for the great deal we received on our room at $45.00 per night Monday thru Thursday & had a Studio Suite with two Kings Beds, but if I would of paid any more then that I would of definitely been disappointed. Our room was in a building not connected to the main building in the very back of the property , so it made it very inconvenient having to go to breakfast, luckily it never rained during our stay. This was our third year in a row staying here when visiting Cedar Point. The first year we was happy with our Studio Suite because it was newer looking because some renovations had been done on our room because our room had a big bathroom with a big shower & best of all NO CARPET, which is a plus for me on cleanliness, since I don't like carpet because it holds lots of nasty germs!! Second year, room very small. This year our room was very big, but needed updated very badly because the shower was very tiny because we had this old pink jacuzzi in our room that took up a lot of space where the bathroom could of been bigger instead, very poor lighting that it was very hard to see in the bathroom & rest of bedroom, toilet ended up leaking & we never could figure out how to get the sliding glass door open to the balcony because the lock was messed up. I felt like I walked into a time capsule from the 1980 to 1990 era because it was so dark & made the room look dirty & dingy with this old ugly brown & black carpet with a very big pink jacuzzi."

"The beds were a little stiff but overall was an amazing property. Stayed for two nights going to Cedar Point. Early entry to the park is included (but not tickets). Great experience!"
Best Western Plus Sandusky Hotel & Suites

"Room was dirty upon arrival and not well maintained. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was hanging from the ceiling and would hit the bathroom door every time we closed it. We stayed 3 nights/ 4 days and our room was not cleaned at all. We never even saw anyone from room service our entire stay. Our first night the hotel was overrun with bikers for Ohio bike week. Our last 2 nights we had a high school basketball team on our floor that would play in the halls and slam their doors. We would not stay here again."

"The early entry to Cedar Point was nice. I was frustrated because my family got there at 5 pm so we could spend a few hours at the park before it closed. The check-in process was so slow (with few attendants) that we wasted an hour just to check into the hotel."

"We have stayed this hotel for the last four years for an event we attend. It is the best kept secret in the area. You feel like you are in your own private lodge away from everything. The room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is amazing and the price for seniors is so nice. The pool area rivals those at high end resorts. Many areas to relax and quietly read a book. The staff was so very nice both at the front desk and the restaurant. Just a top-notch visit."

"Its ok its a place to lay your head and shower in the morning. The toilet in the room are super low. The girls use the one in the lobby as we where leaving and said them where normal height."
