"We made reservations a couple of months before visiting. I liked the location of the hotel. One of the better spots on Ocean City, NJ. Reading the reviews, we decided to pay extra for a corner room with balcony facing south and a window east so saw sunrise and sunset. We were only visiting for three days and unfortunately, after our first day (which was very windy) the weather did not cooperate for going onto the beach, which is just steps away. Great location for riding bikes and walking the boards. Breakfast was fresh, bountiful and delicious. Waitstaff was attentive and pleasant. The room had renovated and updated recently and it showed. A very nice room. Large, clean and a great view of the beach and ocean. My only one negative comment. You really should put a couple of bottles of water in the rooms. But I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. The building looks older from the outside but the rooms were very nice. We enjoyed our oceanfront views and would highly recommend those to the parking lot side."

"Hotel is in a great location! Rooms are quite large and the little kitchens are nicely outfitted! Ours had a keurig coffee machine! Only complaint was the fire alarm going off, because some guest burnt something in their microwave. We were all forced to evacuate into cold and raining weather. We were traveling with 2 babies - not ideal to have to rush outside. And the woman behind the counter at the time was extremely disrepectful and nasty! The other desk staff were fine."
