The area was amazing,located on a golf course. The only issue we had ,was the fire alarm went off for the biulding around 930pm,was super loud and waited outside for good 15-20min for it to shut off. We were on the bottom floor,the guests who stayed above us,had children than ran around from 6am to 1030pm,it was SUPER LOUD,hard to sleep at times.Other than that,it was great!!!

Golf vacation

Legend Cottages rental

Love staying at these properties. Perfect location for lots of activities and day trips. The room is nice. Housekeeping did not show up during our 4 night stay even after I called on the 3rd day. Other than that we enjoyed our stay there.

Our room was very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay again. I only give it a 4 rating because the doorway was covered in cobwebs. I Will definitely recommend to my family and friends

A wonderful stay!

Just a word of advice...arrive at the property for check-in early (say 3 pm for a 4 pm check-in). Where you need to go for check-in was a little confusing but the staff here was very helpful and accommodating.

We were visiting Michigan from Maryland for a family reunion. My husband found this property on vrbo and we immediately rented it. All the amenities that came with the room were such a plus. The grounds was always in pristine condition. Great find!!!!

Perfect Stay For Our Road Trip Adventure

We traveled 4,110 miles from Florida to Michigan with two grandchildren to share our Michigan roots. This room at Shanty Creek was the perfect place! It was clean and neat, comfortable and the grounds beautiful! The pool was safe and secure and very close to our room. We were able to make day trips to Empire and Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore, enjoyed The Heritage Trail as well as the town of Bellaire where Shanty is located. On the resort grounds are plenty of fun places to eat and drink or listed to music. Great Choice!
