This property is perfect for a family with teens or young adults. With a family room, pool table, and 2 bedrooms on one floor for the kids. Then another family room, dining room, kitchen, and one bedroom. Very close to the ski hill with a nice pool and hot tub.

We had a great time

The Treehouse was a great place to stay for 2 couples and our sons. We love the Bellaire area and the house was in a very quiet setting. The house is well kept, everything worked. We enjoyed a few games of billiards and a chilly evening on the deck with a nice fire.

Lovely place

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in April. It was lovely - we loved the house/atmosphere. I am a clean freak and it was clean enough - not perfect, but clean enough that I was very comfortable. 😊 The decor and design of the place was great - cozy, restful, quiet. We would definitely stay again!

Bellaire Stay

My husband and I had a very nice stay at this Bellaire chalet. It was exactly as described and as the pictures depicted. It was a central location for a trip to Traverse City one day and Boyne City another day which was especially beautiful with the fall colors. The house was comfortable and homey.

Amazing property and great communication with hosts!

Incredible experience staying at your gorgeous chalet! We visited in the fall and felt like we were truly living amongst the trees! The place was immaculately clean and had all needed amenities! Loved cozying up in the evenings with the fireplace and looking out at the fall colors surrounding us! Thank you!!

Amazing property!

The Treehouse is a fantastic space to gather! We were there for nearly a week and loved the location, the space itself, the patio and fire pit, and the pool table. Easy check-in and check-out and great communication from the hosts made this one a winner and we will definitely be back! The only this that could make this spot better is a drying rack and pad for dishes with some more kitchen linens! 10/10 would recommend!!

Ski Weekend at Schuss

Beautiful ski cabin in the woods, right on the shanty creek property. Large enough for a big family, but cozy enough for a small group. Open floor plan with retro fireplace. Game room in lower level with pool table and old-school Atari!! Five minute drive to Schuss, Summit and Short's Brewery. We will be back next year.

Tree house

It was a little hard to find because my GPS had me going in circles. Once you do find it, it’s like a hidden gem. Very cosy, big and spacious. It was close to where we was going on torch lake. We spent a lot of time on the back patio with the fire pit. Played games and just enjoyed our time. It was very quiet. Everyone loved the house and enjoyed our time.

Peaceful stay at the Tree House

The Tree house was exactly as described. It was extremely clean and felt so cozy and comfortable. We really enjoyed that the kitchen was open to the dining/living room. The view from the huge windows overlooking the deck was beautiful and peaceful. You truly felt you were up in the trees! The communication with our hosts before arriving was very clear and helpful. We didn’t need to reach out during our stay because everything was wonderful! We’d love to return perhaps in the fall when the leaves are all changing colors. 😊 Thanks for a great stay!

Anniversary Weekend

Overall, it was a fantastic trip. I thoroughly enjoyed the property and would definitely stay again. The mid-century modern design, and the actual fireplace in the living room is a unique feature. The living area is spacious, and the bedrooms are well-proportioned. However, I have a few suggestions for future renters. Firstly, it would be great to include a variety of pillows in the bedrooms to cater to different sleeping preferences. The current pillows are primarily designed for back sleepers and are quite flat and hard for side sleepers. Secondly, it would be helpful to provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers in the showers, as none are currently available.

Treehouse launchpad

Very nice, 2 good size living areas, 2 full bathrooms. Adult children enjoyed pool table. Ate dinners in - kitchen was adequate. I usually bring my own disposables for kitchen (foil, baggies, cling wrap) - which we used here. Any missing supplies- grocery store 10 minutes away. Enjoyed many hikes, lake hoping and card games. Best day was a kayak/paddle boards on torch lake. Access to community heated pool was a plus.

Lost in the forest

Ground floor entrance was the ultimate man cave. With a master bedroom and bunks for the kids. Upper level master bedroom, kitchen outdoor desk with a clean gas grill. Grandparents traveling with our children and their children. They had their own private space, lower level, and we had the upper. Very clean residence and quiet neighborhood. Haven't slept so well in quite a long time. On the deck, s'mores for the children and wine for the rest of us. Highly recommend.

Outstanding Experience

We were able to book a short stay during Spring Break. Description and reviews were spot on! Communication with owner was fast, and helpful if we had any questions. The cleanest vacation place we have ever stayed at. Offered all the necessary conveniences and supplies:) From a fully stocked kitchen with coffee pot, pans, dishes, glassware, cooking utensils and appliances, to a variety of games, blankets, a wonderful pool table to play. I have a little reservation about coming in April. This is a ski resort/ golf paradise when season are in place, but we were between seasons and wasn't sure if there would be much to do, but there was. We were able to relax inside, grill out on the porch, takes walks, eat at nearby restaurants, shop, and do some sightseeing. We enjoyed ourselves immensely, and plan to return again! Thank you for a wonderful experience:)

Great Set Up for Big Families

We had a great time staying at the tree house. We have 7 kids. The room with the bunkbeds has an extra trundle bed, so 5 of them could fit comfortably in one room. We had all of our meals at the cabin. The kitchen is set up well for cooking. Everyone enjoyed the tv /game room with the pool table. Finally, thanks to our host Joe for going the extra mile to make sure we could swim at the Lakeview hotel. He was very responsive whenever I texted a question. One tip - bring extra towels to swim. Lakeview hotel (which you have access to through the condo association) no longer provides towels at the pool itself. Thanks again!!!

Cozy Cabin in the Trees

I recently stayed at the Shanty Creek Treehouse in Michigan, and it was the perfect getaway for our group of nine. From the moment we arrived, the cabin felt like a true home away from home. It was the ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploring the area or playing in the snow. The warmth and ambiance it provided made the evenings feel extra special. We also loved the pool table in the game room — a great addition for some friendly competition and laughter. The space was big enough for all of us to enjoy without feeling cramped.The cabin comfortably accommodated nine people, with plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The bedrooms were cozy and well-appointed, and we woke up to beautiful views of the surrounding forest.Schuss Mountain itself was peaceful and serene, offering a sense of seclusion, but still close enough to local attractions for easy day trips. Whether we were lounging by the fire, playing pool, or simply enjoying the quiet outdoors, every moment felt relaxing and rejuvenating.If you're looking for a cabin that combines comfort, warmth, and fun, this is the place. It's the ideal retreat for families or groups looking to escape and recharge in a stunning Michigan setting. Highly recommend!One word of caution the area is very hilly if there is snow you will need 4 wheel drive.

Charming and Magical

My childhood friends and I plan an annual girls trip each year, always picking something different somewhere in Michigan. We’re in our 30’s now and take this weekend very seriously. I’m not sure that we will pick a different location next year, we loved this beautiful cozy cabin so much! To begin, Joe is absolutely amazing. He is incredibly welcoming and has really ironed out every detail you would need to have an unforgettable trip. He is a great communicator and makes himself available should you need anything. Although we did not need to reach out to him, because everything was already so organized and well communicated, I am confident that had we needed to, he would be there. The cabin was perfect. It’s designed to actually feel like you’re in a Northern MI ski lodge but still offers beautiful modern amenities. Cleanliness was a 10/10 too, and with a house full of ladies, we would have noticed otherwise. The surrounding area has so much to offer! Cute shops, and a perfect downtown area. Restaurant choices were great too! If you want something quick like fast food, those options are there. However, I recommend taking advantage of all the other restaurants that are in the area. We ate at Shanty Creek Bar and Grill which was very small but very impressive. We also visited Shorts, and were so impressed. This truly was a great stay. We wish we would have booked for at least a day or two longer.
