Great location! Very clean!

  • This well maintained home at Shanty Creek Resort will meet your expectations. In the summer you have: beach access, outdoor pools, four golf courses, disc golf, biking. Winter visitors can: ski, snowboard, cross country ski, tube, and enjoy a cozy night next to the fireplace. Regardless of the season you can visit the SC Spa and then finish the day with a trip to Short's Brewery, just 4 miles away.

The stay was nice, but definitely not what we expected. The reviews said very clean, etc., with a 10-star review, which led us to choose it. The bathroom sink did not drain, so it stayed full when we used it. I had to try to pry up the drain stopper to let out the dirty water with no luck. There were lots of bugs inside the house—ear wigs, ants, and spiders. Having to dig for bug spray was not ideal. I realize it is surrounded by woods, but with it being a VRBO where people come often, I would expect regular bug prevention. The master bed had hair in the sheets and yellow stains on the mattress that I only noticed when we stripped the bed due to the departure requirements. The shower had bug droppings that appeared on our second morning. I definitely would not go back. It was merely an okay stay. I would not mark it as clean or cozy and definitely not worth a 10.

Very nice home .very clean and accommodating.not much of a yard if you are planning out door activity.suited us very well however because we mainly were only at the home for early morning and evening
