"My vacation at this resort felt like spending time with treasured family and friends. It was my first solo trip and a truly magical week. I met several people also staying at the resort and I feel certain we will be lifelong friends. The way the resort contributed to this is the charming screened in dining area where a very kind local cook prepares Caribbean style meals and where guests can all sit together to eat. The hosts, Tina and Gary and their two super friendly dogs frequently hang out on the deck having coffee and chatting with us. Tina is a marvel at helping guests navigate travel around the Monkey River area with much helpful advice. The rooms are lovely cabin like spaces with everything you need for very comfortable respite. What the resort is NOT… a huge, flashy, busy crowded place that feels impersonal and typical. Those of us who love the vibe at Monkey River Resort would prefer anyone with those expectations stay somewhere else!! Thank you Tina, Gary and your furry kids for an exceptional vacation!! I can’t wait to come back!!"

"The property over delivered on every aspect. Room was very nice and the attention to detail was beyond anything I’ve ever seen. The staff was welcoming, anxious to be of assistance and delivered without hesitation. We had dinner which was exceptional and the chef spent time with us. We were asked if we wanted to tour the property and were taken on an extended walk with a staff member who pointed out birds, trees, spices and how the property worked. This isn’t something that we’d normally do, but would highly recommend as we’ve never experienced something like this. We absolutely loved our stay and can promise that this property will not disappoint. Go with confidence!"

"Paradise!! We had the most glorious time walking through the jungle, hearing and seeing beautiful birds, sitting on the swing drinking coffee on the Veranda, relaxing under the pool's waterfall and simply enjoying the beautifully landscaped ambiance. The home itself is incredibly comfortable with an open space for cooking, eating and watching TV in the evenings. The fruit from the farm was spectacular and we were spoiled with the abundance of mango for smoothies. Day trips to the beach and local restaurants for dinner were easy and convenient and added to the enjoyment. But, the best part was returning to the farm for an evening swim and hot tub and gorgeous sunset. We would return in a heartbeat!!"
