"We stayed at The Elmwood only very briefly, en route to Cape Breton, but were very pleased with the cleanliness and comfortable bed and quiet surroundings. Due to traffic delays we arrived well after their usual office hours (7a-7p) but management had arranged to have a clerk on the desk to greet us -- we very much appreciated that above-and-beyond service."

"I am so absolutely impressed with the property and the photos were super accurate and the communication with the home owner was amazing as well! So happy we stayed on this families property and will highly recommend. Hotel like quality with alllll the lake amenities to take advantage of. Day one we used the fire pit and lounging chairs to relax and hot tub at night. We had an excursion the next day and we loved coming back to the comfortable beds to just relax and found a great restaurant in the area on Water street. We will be back and know they have other properties but the Feras family is great and love the compound ! "

"Our stay in Mount Vernon was fantastic! The house was very comfortable with a well stocked kitchen and lots of beach and bath towels. We could have used another kayak or two (there were 8 of us and 2 kayaks) but other than that we wanted for nothing. Would definitely come again!"

"This camp was perfect for what we were looking for! We loved having our coffee at sunrise and soaking up the sun throughout the day. While it’s close to other properties and there were plenty of kids outside and in the water out front, everyone was very respectful, and it never felt disruptive.The camp itself had everything we needed and felt modern and comfortable. One thing to note: small flies were a bit of a nuisance indoors—especially in the kitchen and bathroom. We recommend washing dishes before and after meals, as we noticed both live and dead flies around those areas.We really appreciated the provided water fountain since the tap water isn’t potable—they had plenty of clean drinking water ready for us. The hill leading up to the camp is quite steep, but we didn’t mind—it gave our calves a little extra workout!The view is absolutely breathtaking. We highly recommend staying here for your Maine getaway"
