About this property

Serene 1-bedroom suite on 75 acre horse property

Enjoy nature while staying in a quiet 1 bedroom attached suite. It includes a full kitchen with one bathroom, 1 king bed plus a queen futon and a dedicated workspace that is great for remote workers.

The unit is set on a 75 acre horse property with it's own trail system perfect for easy nature strolls or trail rides. We have up to 20 horses on the property. You might even notice a few outside your front window!

It's set back in the woods about a third of a mile, however it is a convenient location close to Amherst, Hampshire, UMass, Smith and Mt. Holyoke.

Guest access
There is a lovely gazebo and front lawn area with a bistro set and Adirondack chairs to relax in while taking in the sunrise (if you choose) while overlooking the horse pasture in the front yard.

We have a 20 stall horse barn that you're welcome to give yourself a self-guided tour of. Be sure to say hello to my wife if you see her in the barn! She also offers optional horsemanship lessons if you are interested.

Additionally there is a trail system on our property that connects with adjacent trails perfect for exploring.

Other things to note
We offer horsemanship, yoga, meditation and life coaching on the property if you are interested.

Peaceful Stay

Had such a wonderful stay at this space. Brent was very communicative about the check in/check out process which was greatly appreciated. The main living room area is very spacious and the bedroom was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

A wonderful stay!

We booked Brent and Claire’s property for a small getaway for our daughter’s second birthday, and it was perfect! Very spacious, clean, comfy bed, and we appreciated the fully stocked kitchen as well as the games in the unit. The horses were a very unique bonus! We definitely recommend this stay!

Probably our best stay anywhere. To be in the woods with owls, bluebirds, even a turkey in a hurry was exquisite. Nothing heals like nature. Now add gorgeous horses on three sides and you’ll be happy too. Our host answered all our questions, and the place was clean and well appointed.

Quiet horse farm property far enough back from the road to feel completely rural but still a convenient drive to Amherst and Hadley. Rooms were clean and pleasantly furnished. Lovely skylight in the living room. Host stopped in to greet us and see how we were doing.

Exceptional property! Peaceful and beautiful. Accommodations were clean and comfortable. Nice shaded patio area for dining, reading or enjoying the view. It was so calming to wake up and see the horses first thing in the morning. Property also has some walking trails which unfortunately, we didn't have time to take advantage of. Would highly recommend and hope to return soon.

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful and charming home in the woods while visiting our son at UMass Amherst and celebrating my wife’s birthday. The property is serene and beautifully maintained, with horses grazing just outside the windows — a truly calming and memorable experience. We also enjoyed visits from the friendly dogs and cat who live on the property, which added to the welcoming, homey atmosphere. The house itself was spotless, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed — including air conditioning, cozy beds and futons, a Roku TV, and games for the whole family. The nearby gazebo was a perfect spot to unwind, take in the quiet, and watch the horses. It's a short and scenic drive to Amherst, with nearby conveniences like Stop & Shop, Starbucks, and Dunkin’ Donuts. As an added bonus, horsemanship, meditation, and yoga sessions are offered, and we hope to perhaps take advantage of these offerings on a future stay. If you're looking to unplug and relax in a beautiful, animal-friendly setting with a gracious host like Brent, this place is truly a gem. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

What a special place!

We had such a nice time relaxing here. Very easy to let ourselves in. Incredibly clean place with everything you need. But the best part? The ability to watch horses play from your living room window. We spent a lot of time waking around the grounds saying hello to all of the beautiful horses. There are trails on the property too that we took advantage of. And the hosts are very attentive to any needs, though we didn't really need anything. The place was the spacious enough for my husband and I and our kiddo. Perfect place to kick back and enjoy your surroundings. We'd love to come back!

Lovely Suite with Lovely View of Equine.

I came to spend a couple days with my son who goes to college nearby. It was a cold damp weekend, but the place was warm and cozy. I found the space to be more than enough for me, but had the boys come to visit for one lunch and it was perfect. They enjoyed walking the property to see the horses (we are usually city folks ourselves.) I did not get to meet the hosts, but everything was explained clearly about check-in and I had no issues at all. The bed was very comfortable for me and the shower was excellent. I was exhausted from some difficult travel days and couldn't have been more comfortable in this rental. I would absolutely recommend, especially if you love horses. They were a healthy gorgeous looking stable and one seemed very happy to get a few pats on the head from me. I'd say it's perfect for a couple, or young family with small children. They will be hearing from me again.

Incredible Horse Getaway!

This trip was a surprise birthday adventure for my now 9 year old daughter. It was what she dreamed of and much more! The unit was incredibly clean and comfortable, and stocked with just what we needed. The horses right outside the windows was so special! We enjoyed relaxing and observing the horses interact and learned a lot just by watching them, especially Ziggy! Claire was amazing and went above and beyond to make this a truly memorable trip for my daughter. She was happy to have her help with barn chores in the morning and fit her in for 1.5 hour riding lessons on each day of our stay. The lessons were fantastic for our daughter and truly magical to watch. Claire has a wonderful natural horsemanship program and it was lovely to be a part of it during our stay. We loved it there so much that we dreamed of moving to the area. Brent was fantastic as well—clear and kind communications, and he checked in as soon as we got there to make sure we were all set. Next time we will have to try taking a yoga class as well! We can’t say enough fantastic things and are incredibly grateful to have spent some lovely time in the Libery Woods. Thank you for sharing this gem with us! Hope to stay there again soon!

A great jumping off point for the Pioneer Valley and 5 colleges. Brent and Claire were wonderful hosts! Nice and quiet on the property, and it’s a neat experience to have the beautiful horses right outside your window.

Laid-back location, sitting in the gazebo to watch the horses graze was just what we needed to unplug. Hosts Brent and Claire were terrific, friendly with clear communication (check-in, directions, etc) and they put lots of thought into making a welcoming space. What a wonderful place! We were very comfortable and it was so cool to have the horses right outside our window. I got to chat with the host too and he was so nice. I'm bummed we didn't have time to take advantage of the other offerings on location like the yoga and the trails. Next time!

We stayed for two nights when our daughter was graduating nearby. The location was convenient, the space clean and comfortable, and we slept well in the quiet between two horse pastures. We didn’t need it but the kitchen very nice and fully equipped. The only thing that would have made it better was a grab bar in the shower, but i know most people don’t require or think about that kind of thing.

Great Stay Surrounded By Horses

We loved our stay at Brent’s place. The suite has everything you need and is very spacious and clean. Brent was a super attentive host from the moment we made the booking, proactively sending messages to make sure we had everything we needed to make both our check in and our stay perfect. He also kindly invited me and my kids to join him on a wonderful morning walk on the property’s trails. The whole setting was super relaxing and you get to chill outside sitting on the Adirondack chairs while looking at the horses. There is also a very convenient center 2 minutes away where you can get groceries or anything you need. Our only regret is we didn’t stay longer, which we will certainly do in the future.
