"Amazing historic building in a beautiful setting"

"We (my wife, my two grandchildren, and I) have truly enjoyed this place and the kindness with which we were treated at all times. My grandchildren were thrilled to enjoy the swimming pool and to visit the nearby dolmens. Thank you to Sevenfarm and the family behind this wonderful venture!"

"You simply pay for the views at this hotel. There are no frills outside of that (which was fine for my stay) the rooms had AC which was great. The staff was nice but it seems they were understaffed and simple requests took longer than other hotels I stayed at in Portugal. The buffet breakfast was convenient as there aren’t many food choices in the area to go to. I would go back simply because of the views and the relaxing property!"

"The hotel is beautiful and next to the river. You can rent e-bikes to ride around. Their restaurant is very nice overlooking the Douro River. Be aware that transportation to/from the hotel is limited as there are nearly no taxis in town and they only accept cash."

"This was my third time at Raízes da Vinha. Every time they amaze me with their friendliness. The hotel is located in a great spot with a view to the mountains, is spectacular. The rooms are clean and if something is not right the staff is quick to help you. I strongly recommend it."
