"The property was perfect for a large group who were there to celebrate my daughter's wedding. The home had all needed amenities and so much room! It felt very homey and well loved. Everything was in good working order and all processes were uncomplicated. The owner was kind, professional and on site when we arrived. We loved the neighbors dog and had a great time. Only a few miles from main entrance to New River Gorge, and Thurmond. Easy drive to all other parts of the National Park. We even got in a few State Parks and 1 Battlefield. "The cabin is exactly as described. The grounds keeper went out of his way to grab trash we hadn’t taken over yet while we were out. A lot of reviews mentioned the road being bad, but it’s just a typical narrow dirt road. I can see it maybe being a little intimidating if you never drive on unpaved roads, but it is very well maintained, just go slow and be mindful while passing people and you won’t have an issue."

"This stay was for our 10th anniversary. The cabin was fantastic. We loved the hot tub and the privacy. We had an issue where VRBO didn’t send us the the cabin number and correct code. We ended up arriving at 2am due an emergency delay in our trip. We contacted VRBO and they contacted our host. We felt bad for waking him at 2am, but he was able to give us the information we needed. "The house was perfect for our needs. It was the ideal location as it was just 5-10 miles from the "big" stores or just a couple from the nearest Dollar General and gas station.
