☕ Dancing Baristas Cafe — The Amenity Right Outside Your Door
Cookie and Niko run Dancing Baristas on the ground floor below the loft. Multiple guests independently call it the best coffee in Beaufort. The bagel breakfast sandwich appears in reviews by name. So does the avocado toast, the lox bagel, and Cookie herself.
Lani walked downstairs for her morning latte and avocado toast with her daughter and called it the bonus of the stay. Amy had the cafe pack to-go sandwiches for a boat trip. Private upstairs entrance. King bed with separate wall unit for year-round temperature control. Full bathroom. Fully stocked kitchen — Amy cooked a full anniversary dinner and found everything she needed. Dedicated workspace. Smart TV. Beautifully decorated throughout. No shared indoor spaces with the cafe.

The rocking chair front porch is the first thing guests reach for and the last thing they give up. Morning coffee, Beaufort air, the sound of the trees. Multiple guests have called it the moment the trip genuinely began.
The gated dog area converts pet travelers immediately — a fenced, private space that Stephanie called perfect for letting dogs decompress from travel energy. For anyone who has arrived with a dog and found no safe outdoor space, the gate makes the booking decision easy.

📍 Getting Around
Downtown Beaufort`s Front Street — restaurants, bars, ice cream, live music, and ferry services to Shackleford Banks and the wild horses — is 1.5 miles from Low Tide Loft. Most guests rent a golf cart with delivery or take the bikes available on-site. Navigation note: the route to downtown does not go directly down Live Oak Street. Cut through the parking lot across the street and take the scenic back roads. Every guest who has encountered this found it easy — on a golf cart or bike it`s part of the experience. Harkers Island, Atlantic Beach, Fort Macon State Park, and the NC Aquarium are all accessible by car for day trips.

Low Tide Loft was built by Bethany and her husband — purchased in 2022, renovated with intention, and grown into a 4.98 rating through hosting that guests describe specifically: she set up a playpen and sound machine for a guest arriving with a baby without being asked twice, offered early check-in with a door code based on a guest`s own phone number, and sends local recommendations that guests follow and come back to thank her for.

THE CAFE: Dancing Baristas operates below during regular business hours. Occasional evening events. Outdoor patio shared during cafe hours. Indoor loft has no shared spaces. Cookie keeps music off until she hears movement above.

This property is dog friendly - this does not mean ALL dogs are welcome. Please note, dogs are NOT permitted unless approved by the Host prior to arrival. Age, size, breed and recent photo of the dog will be required for final approval along with a NON-refundable fee of $75 for up to 3 nights and $85 for 4+ nights. Host will consider approval of 2nd dog based on size/breed - additional $25 fee will apply. MAXIMUM of two approved dogs permitted - $150 penalty will be assessed if unapproved dog(s) are in property. Pet fees must be paid prior to arrival.
Approved dogs are not allowed on the furniture (this includes couch and bed!) and all garbage associated with the pet must be bagged and discarded prior to check-out. $75 penalty will be assessed if there is evidence of these rules not being followed - please do not ruin our flexibility with pets for future guests!! Absolutely NO “ruff housing” allowed on the property. Dogs must be crated while guest is away from the property and leashed while in shared spaces. Again, they must remain OFF the furniture or additional cleaning fees will be assessed. Guest will be assessed a $150 fee for each unauthorized pet on Premises - PLEASE request approval in advance to avoid this charge. If you have an allergy to dogs, please consider staying elsewhere as the home is not advertised as 100% pet free.
As a courtesy to the Guest, the Premises will be furnished with towels, linens and bedding. If these items go missing or are ruined during the reservation, the Guest will be assessed a replacement fee.
Smoking is not permitted inside the Premises. Smoking is allowed outside only but all cigarette butts must be safely disposed of to avoid additional cleaning charges. Please be respectful of this non-smoking home.
Host has the right to assess an additional cleaning fee due to extraordinary cleaning (over time allotted) as a result of Guest use. Additional $25 cleaning fee will be assessed for all reservations longer than 7 nights. This charge will be added after the reservation has been confirmed.
Items left by Guest will be returned for $10 plus shipping costs unless other arrangements can be made.

We loved staying here! We had everything that we needed. And the Dancing Baristas Cafe, in the downstairs of the house, was such a bonus. We loved the breakfast there every day!
This loft was perfect for my visit with family in Beaufort. The price point was on target for its location and it had all the amenities I needed during my stay. I look forward to my next trip knowing I have a great place to stay when I’m in the area.
The place is quite a convenient location to downtown, grocery store and other cool cities close by… Morehead city, Atlantic beach etc

This quaint spot is perfect for a quick getaway. Convenient to shops, especially Beaufort waterfront. Beautifully decorated with all needed conveniences. Bethany was very pleasant to deal with. Oh and the Dancing Baristas coffee shop downstairs was the icing on the cake.
Outstanding property and cleanliness. The cafe downstairs is wonderful and staffed by a wonderful team. The property is built for small pets and the coffee shop has a fenced in run for dogs. Highly recommend this property.

Came to town from New York for a beach wedding. What a wonderful loft above a charming cafe, where we were welcomed by very friendly staff. Not only is it super convenient to walk downstairs in our PJs and order our morning coffees, but the dog-friendly amenities and cute porch are the cherries on top. Thanks for a relaxing stay and the southern hospitality.
I was visiting Beaufort for the first time. This property was ideally located to downtown, Harkers Island, and Morehead. I enjoyed staying above Dancing Baristas. It was so convenient to pop down for my Latte and breakfast choice each morning before heading out. The property was perfectly appointed with toiletries, books, games, a comfy bed, and more. The owner provided great communication before and during my stay. I will stay again when I am back in the area.
Great communication from the host Bethany. Easy entry code. Very cute loft; easy access to the beach or ferry. It was a nice touch that i could call or go downstairs to get breakfast from the barista. It was nice that i was able to bring my dog and enjoy the beach with her. I will be back
This apartment rental was awesome! It is decorated so nice(as in the pictures), has all the amenities you could need and a few minutes drive to downtown Beaufort. Love Beaufort! And the cafe downstairs is great with wonderful owners and it makes it nice to get something to eat and drinks if you don’t want to go out to eat all the time. This place was perfect for us for a week’s getaway. Bethany, the owner, is very responsive for any questions. We highly recommend staying here!!!
This is a great place. The suite itself is meticulously clean, beautifully decorated, and is just a comfortable place to stay. While not quite in downtown Beaufort per se, the location is great and is very easy to get to the waterfront in Beaufort, Morehead City, and Harkers Island. The icing on the cake is the Dancing Baristas coffee shop below the suite. Serving breakfast and lunch, it was a true treat to go downstairs for a cup of coffee and some breakfast in the morning and be welcomed by the incredibly sweet staff and friendly locals. Both food and coffee were outstanding. All in all, we spent two nights at this VRBO and then spent a week camping at Cape Lookout National Seashore. We spent a third night at this VRBO after returning from our stay at Cape Lookout. This area is absolutely gorgeous, lots of things to do, has a fascinating history, and really good places to eat! This loft is the perfect place to enjoy it all, I just wish that we could stay for another week!
