The place is ok. A bit old, but you can see they’re working on things bit by bit. We enjoyed the little sachets of coffee provided, and we liked the bathroom being spacious. We just weren’t too pleased with the cleanliness of the place as we spotted some things that were definitely missed. Would recommend if you’re travelling on a budget.

We arrived on a Saturday morning and never saw anybody during our whole 2 night stay. The code we were sent to open the main door and security box for our room card worked but then the cards never opened the main door like they are supposed to. Luckily I kept the code to get in. I emailed the manager but no answer until after we had checked out. What would happen in an emergency.

The kitchen area was well stocked and the bathroom was a very good size. The main bed was very big and comfortable and the pull out bed was OK. We were very surprised (not in a good way) that the hotel was completely unmanned for the whole weekend. This was for our whole stay. Reception was locked so we had no access to maps/information. We entered the property OK and got access to our room key. However, the same could not be said for other people. We had 3 incidents where people were waiting outside to get in but could not gain access. Each time, we were put in a position where we were expected to let people in because we had access. This was a totally inappropriate position for us to be in. We physically could not stop people following us in - we were not there to act as security. I understand that the help buzzer was not working over the weekend. Something needs to change here - it is totally unacceptable to leave the onus on guests to give access to total strangers. We were also very disappointed that we were not told that there was plenty of on the street parking around the hotel but instead we were encouraged to pay 10 Euros per night to use the car park. This was empty, apart from one other car. Had we known the situation, we would not have paid for parking.

Dear guest, Thank you so much for letting us learn how you feel after your stay. I confirm the residence, which is not a hotel, is open from Monday to Friday (8-12am and 3-8pm) but close the rest of time as people are independant and can manage by theirself once they checked in. This information is available on each website where the residence can be booked in order everyone has the same level of information before booking. At your departure, we talked together and you made us realised the maps were not accessible, we took this note with the highest interrest we could and from your departure now maps are availables 24/24 for clients. We try each day to improve ourselves and to make our guests feel good and better ! We are aware of the inconvenient that happened on your weekend stay, I personnaly came several times during the weekend because of a door access problem. That was the first time, hope it was the last time, but this was not a human responsability. By the way it's solved since the Monday you left and never happended again. You helped guests to enter the residence, we thank you very much for that ! Once they were inside they had access to the on-call phone number and could reach me by phone in order I came to solve their access card probelm. In their position you would have appreciate a lot that someone let you enter the lobby ! I thank you again for that help you gave to our guests, they were also happy to find you on their way :-) The car park is proposed to guests, we do not encourage them to buy this option. This is a service we have to talk about in order our guests know there is this possibility. The streets are maybe sometimes empty in August, but not an usual fact. Our option also included the confort of loading and unloading a vehicule and our car park is cover by cameras, the streets are not. I hope we will welcome you again.

Staff had good English. Well equipped kitchen. Fairly large room with small table. Good bathroom with small drying rack and heated towel rail. Free parking on local streets. Easy walk to town but tram stop right outside door

Our Stay
Comfortable enough, but a bit tired and carpet wasn't Clean. Breakfast was in a conference room, (usual room being refurbished) only 3 tables, which were all full - so we had to take what we could carry and take it back to our room, which was disappointing and meant we didnt see good value for the 11 euros per person! It would've been better for them not to offer breakfast really!

Spacious and comfortable
2 room apartment with double bed in one room (with ensuite) and sofabed in other. We had two, and one had the bathroom separate to both rooms. Spacious and clean, comfortable, kitchen facilities seemed good (though we didn't use). Right next to tram stop.

Convenient apartahotel
We stayed 3 nights at Resídence Operália in Grenoble. The hotel is not very central but the tram is just in front. The room was clean and confortable and the kitchen well equiped. It is a good option for families.

Great base, close to tram with easy access to city
Comfortable clean hotel, well equipped kitchenette and bathroom. Reception staff English were speaking and helpful. Opposite tram stop could be noisy on that side of hotel, great views of the city. Go for superior studios more spacious. Great reasonably priced base for exploring all Grrnoble has to offer.

Grenoble visit
The hotel is very secure and the neighborhood seemed quite safe. Having access to a refrigerator and microwave in the room was a great bonus. We took full advantage of the tram to travel to different parts of the city without any difficulty. The reception was quite helpful and is available 24 hours a day.

Great budget choice; would stay here again!
I was on a business trip for two weeks in Grenoble. The hotel was modern and clean. The bathroom and kitchen facilities in the room were clean and in full working order. The murphy bed mattress was firm and surprisingly comfortable. Television channels were available in many languages, but most were of course in French, followed by German and a few in English. The in-room wired internet access worked well. The neighborhood is fine, but nothing special. I felt comfortable walking on the street both during the day and at night. There is a stop for Tram Line A directly in front of the hotel, which made accessing the rest of the city very easy. I found the price of the hotel to be very reasonable for amenities received. I would definitely stay here again the next time my business takes me to Grenoble. My one complaint would be that my room was only cleaned one time during my two week stay, but I wish cleaning service had been provided at least every few days. Overall, though, I am entirely satisfied with my stay here.

Loved everything about this apartment/hotel. My daughter and I shared a 1 bedroom suite with kitchette, living room and beautiful large bathroom. Dishwasher and micro took alittle studying to operate, but came in handy for my diet requirements. On tram line A... noise not a problem. Public transportation works wonderful....we could return to our room for lunch or just a rest...no problem. Grenoble - what a wonderful place to shop!!!! see the sights, ski, and visit friends!!!!

I stayed in Adagio Berthelot for 3 nights during a business trip. I stayed in a small room, but the space was not an issue for me as I was there only in the evenings. The room was clean, furniture and appliances were new. I liked that they had everything I needed in a small kitchen unit (coffee maker, fridge, stove, plates, glasses, etc.). The reception staff spoke English very well and they were very helpful. The location is also great; there is a tram stop (blue line- Mounier stop) right in front of the hotel. So it's easy to get to downtown in 5-10 mins and to the Alpexpo confrence center in 10-15 mins. I appreciated the fact that they had free (and reasonably fast) internet. I would stay at Adagio again.

This hotel was ideal for the purpose of our trip. We stayed for a week whilst trying to find our daughter accomodation in Grenoble. It was a good base as we had a kitchenette and internet access.The staff are very good. They all speak good English and can't do enough to help. The location of the tram stop right outside made things a lot easier for us commuting in and out of the city centre. I think the only downside is that it is up to you to keep the room tidy as cleaning is only done when you move out.

Fit our Needs Well
We were travelling through France and needed a place to stay in Grenoble. This fit the bill. It was a little hard to find as it is located adjacent to a Tram line that restricts frequent crossing and the outside mentioned ADAGIO APARTMENT HOTEL on the outside sign, (which I wasn't expecting). The surrounding area is not scenic, but the Tram outside gets you downtown in a jiffy. Lots of nice features such as washing machine and dryers (pay) in the basement and a good breakfast. Heck, even the air-conditioning worked great!

Adagio Grenoble Bertholot- good place to stay
The location on the tram line is very good. Buy tram tickets at the rail station tram stop -1.5 euros each- and line A goes past this hotel. The ticket has to be verified before you get on and without paying again can be used on any tram for no extra euros ( but must be revalidated just before getting on). The receptionist at this hotel was very friendly and helpful. We used the kitchen to have breakfast - kept milk, yoghurt etc in the fridge. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The only complaint, and this is very common, that while shampoo is supplied, no hair conditioner is. The wifi could only be used in the lobby but we were able to Skype our daughter clearly, so all good.

Interesting room layout with fold away bed. Nice little kitchen area with coffee machine and even a tiny dishwasher. Rooms seem very new and modern. Internet connection speed of around 1Mbit. Tram stop right outside the door. Cheaper for longer stays.

Hôtel avec des signes d’usure qui mérite un rafraîchissement. Chambres spacieuses et bien équipées. L’accueil est ouvert seulement dans la journée ; vu mes contraintes je n’ai rencontré aucun personnel de l’hôtel. Les 8&9 janvier, le couloir du 4ème étage mérite au minimum un passage d’aspirateur. Du mobilier de cuisine abîmé chambre 402 (porte sous l’évier absente). Isolation phonique insuffisante : de la chambre 402 on entend les bruits venant de la 403.

Jamais eu de chambre d'hôtel cumulant autant de points négatifs. Porte de placard qui tombe quand on ouvre, barre de douche qui reste dans la main quand on règle la hauteur du pommeau, absence de télécommande télévision le 1er soir, frigo host service, miroir salle de bain qui éclaire a moitié, système de chauffage bruyant..... Mes remarques ont été accueillies sans beaucoup d'attention ni d'amabilité même si j'ai trouvé un frigo neuf et une mini bouilloire le soir.....et une sucette , je suppose en guise de dédommagement. Dommage, j'ai passé l'âge d'apprécier.

Sejour désastreux. Pas d’eau chaude, luminaires qui ne fonctionnent pas, odeur de moisi dans la chambre. Les appartements ne sont pas du tout entretenu. Les notes ne correspondent pas du tout à la situation réelle : 8/10 !!! L’équipe qui gère le bien essaie de faire du mieux qu’ils peuvent.

The staff was eager to remedy any deficiency after being approached. The bathroom has seen its best years. Toilet yellow, shower head splashes, no power for the hairdryer. For breakfast you have to go through a dark corridor (not lit) to the dining room. There is a lot of mould on the walls above the egg cooker. The cooker itself was not cleaned during the days. There were no eggs anyway. If you arrive for lunch, be sure to check the email. Everything is limited to the minimum.

最初は、自分がフランスの生活に不慣れなこともあり、調理器具などの汚れ、破損に多少戸惑いましたが(洗うか買うかしました)、長く滞在しているうちに、慣れてくるととても快適に感じられました。 冷蔵庫が水漏れしていましたが、対応は親切で、すぐ新品と交換してもらえました。とにかく相談してみることが大切なのだと思います。 トラムの駅が目の前にあり便利でした。

Nombreux vols dans les voitures sur le parking de l'hôtel. Des affiches dans l'hôtel le signale. La nuit ou on y a dormi, en pus de la notre, au moins 3 voiture se sont fait visitées, vu les bris de vitre au sol le matin.
