Beautiful property, excellent lodgings, but make sure you confirm beforehand!

My friends and I had an excellent stay at this property, it was the perfect size for 3 adults and very quaint and private. I will say that the listing says that it is 8.8 miles from Leesburg VA (which is where my friends and I were visiting) but that is not entirely accurate- there IS a ferry you can take across that maybe makes that number true but if you are an out of towner and are planning on just driving GPS style it ACTUALLY takes about 25-30 minutes to drive into town. Wasn’t a deal breaker for us and the drive is beautiful. Make sure you confirm your reservation with the owner well in advance- there was some kind of disconnect or misunderstanding regarding our booked and paid reservation and when I sent her a message about 5 days prior she said the place wasn’t available. Luckily for us it was all worked out and we were able to have our long awaited (And needed!) girls weekend at this lovely property.
